Eight TVSC Athletes Performed Well in the First Metro Open Water Championships

The Rye Playland venue on the north shore of the Long Island Sound, the water termperature and the late summer weather were great for the first ever Metro LSC Open Water Championships.  The Metro Open Water Champs at the same venue was canceled in 2019 due to expected stormy weather but on the day of the race conditions were perfect.  And due to the pandemic the 2020 Open Water Champs was not held.

Note that we are planning to organize an Open Water meet at Cedar Beach the weekend of July 8 of 2022 and we expect all the Junior team swimmers to participate. The 10 & Unders will swim a 1,000 free, the 11-12s swim the 2,000 free, the 13 & Overs swim the 3,000 or the 5K.
