Megan Jasina Coach

Coach Megan is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Oakland University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She is beginning her 4th year as a high school counselor at Old Redford Academy, a charter school in Detroit. Before beginning her counseling career she worked as a program coordinator for Playworks, a company that promotes learning social skills through the power of play.

Megan has loved swimming for as long as she can remember. She began swimming competitively in high school as a member of the Stevenson Titan’s swim team. She taught swim lessons for Utica Community Schools from 2004-2012.

Megan began her coaching career in 2012 as the Developmental Coach for the Great Lakes Tritons. In 2015 she took a year and a half break from coaching to help develop the counseling program at her school. She returned to coaching in 2017 and resumed her position as Developmental Coach. She is happy to be “home” and working with her swimmers again!
Lorenzo Colo Assistant Coach

Howdy everyone my name is Lorenzo Colo and I am a recent graduate from Western Michigan University in their Aviation program! I joined GLT back in 2008 when I was in fourth grade and continued all the way until I had to leave for college. In addition to GLT, I also swam on Dakota's High school team for all four years and even WMU's club team for one year. Through these experiences I've had the privilege to travel to different places and make lifelong friends. I believe that practice is not only to make us faster at swimming but to also create healthy life habits, such as responsibility, that we're able to carry with us into our next stages of life. In my free time I do enjoy movies, video games, and creative writing. I look forward to and am thankful to be a part of the team this season.
