GOAL won the Midwestern Swimming (MWS) Short Course Championships this past weekend at the Fremont YMCA Aquatic Center. GOAL scored 4612 points, ahead of runner-up Swim Omaha (2990 pts) and 3rd place Lincoln Select Swimming (2574 pts). You can view all of the results on the MWS Championship Meet homepage here. USA Swimming has announced the 1,231 members of its 2021 Scholastic All-American Team, consisting of 586 girls and 646 boys ( Click here to see the full list). To be considered for this year’s team, swimmers had to have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 for the 2020-21 school year and swum a 2019 Winter Junior qualifying time in any individual event between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021. GOAL scored 295 pts. and finished in 7th place in the combined team standings at the Sectional Championship Meet in Columbia, MO this past week (July 16-19). It was GOAL's highest summer Sectional combined team finish. The men were 5th place with 201 pts, and the women were 13th place with 94 pts (both best-ever for the women).
