Coach Brett began coaching triathletes in 2003, while he began the sport of triathlon many years earlier. While coaching, he has coached all levels of athletes through the professional level both in terms of individual coaching via planning schedules to one on one swim instruction. His coaching experience includes head coach for Northwestern University Triathlon, running a USA Triathlon (USAT) high performance junior triathlon team, coaching a 501(c)3 youth triathlon team, working with USAT as part of their collegiate recruitment program, as well as working for the International Triathlon Union as a facilitator developing athletes and coaches around the world. He holds a Masters degree in Movement Sciences from the University of Illinois, is a USA Triathlon Level II and Youth and Junior Coach and is also credentialed through the American Swim Coaches Association. Coach Brett is the head coach of the Westview High School Swim Team. |
