Swim-A-Thon is set for TUESDAY, APRIL 18! Please see attached information about this very important team event. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 and to have 100% participation. Please make it a priority to help your swimmer with their Swim-A-Thon. All donations are tax deductible. Our team record is $20,000 from 2019, it would be awesome to smash this record and raise more than ever! Swim a thon donations will be accepted until May 1 st.
We are planing a fun evening and hope you plan to join us make this a fun family event. Let’s bring tents and blankets to hang out in the field. We are trying to line up a few food trucks. Swim-A-Thon is our one-and-only fundraiser each year where our swimmers help raise money in support of our team by swimming lengths of the pool. As a non-profit, Sunkist counts on Swim-A-Thon to cover costs and to help keep our monthly dues down. Funds raised from Swim-A-Thon also keep us prepared for any unexpected expenses as well as provide for wish list items as needed. Swim-A-Thon is a super fun event for our swimmers where they get to swim their laps however, they wish. The attached information sheet has all the details and I have also posted everything on our official Swim-A-Thon page.
MIGHTY CAUSE: The best way to raise money is through mightycause, let me know if you need any help setting up your personal fundraising page. You can also raise money the old-fashioned way, but I highly encourage you to use Mighty Cause. Mighty cause online giving platform will remain open for donations until 5/1/23. 100% PARTICIPATION – can’t stress this enough. No donation is too small, the important thing is to have everyone do their part to help support our amazing TEAM. USA Swimming provides prizes for top fundraisers and DeckPass patches as well. Thank you for doing your part to pitch in for this year’s Swim-A-Thon – let’s get after it!
Sunkist Families:
This is a fun practice. Parents usually help count their swimmer's lengths when we swim our laps for Swim-a-thon. Swimmers have two hours to swim up to 200 laps and they can swim them however they want! There will be music, snacks and our coaches will swim a few laps as well, don't miss this fun night!
