What are time standards?  What size suit should my swimmer buy?  What should I bring to a swim meet?  When should I show up for a swim meet?  Swimming has lots of unique rules, vocabulary and concepts.  Swimming can be overwhelming to new families.

Luckily, we have a great group of swim parents who can help answer your questions.  We have developed a Parent Mentorship program to help ease new swim families into our sport.  Our Parent Mentors are listed below.  Feel free to reach out to them with any questions.

In addition, please visit our Swimming 101 tab on the Ad Astra Area Aquatics website.  Also, usaswimming.org has helpful information for new swim families.
