USA Swimming has released the 2021 - 2024 National Motivational Age Group Time Standards!

The time standards for both the traditional age group (10 & Under; 11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18) and the Single Age Motivational Time standards (for each age 10 - 18) are intended to offer benchmarks for athletes, as they progress through their swimming career and work towards qualifying time standards for Districts, Champs, Sectionals and beyond!

Swimmers can begin goal-setting by aiming to achieve B and BB times, using the times as markers to see progress as they focus and improve their technique and move through the KCB competitive program. These time standards also give a great marker for when athletes shift through the age divisions, helping to set realistic peramters to their new level of competition.

These time standards are also used as qualification times for entry in Club hosted invitational meets and can either be faster or slower than any of the  B - AAAA standards. Missouri Valley’s Winter Classic (our LSCs Championship meet often held in December) uses the Motivational Time Standards as a qualification time standard. Central Zones use the AAA standards as the qualification for the Zones meet each summer.

Time standards are determined for each Olympic quad, with these new time standards moving towards Paris, 2024. Interested in more information?  Click the links below for more!
