Meet Recap: Region VIII Spring Sectionals
KCB travelled to Columbia, MO for the 2022 Region VIII Sectional Championships and finished the short course season with outstanding performances! We had 23 swimmers Blazers compete and as a team placed in the Top 10 finishing in 8th overall out of 46 teams!
National:
National stepped up and went for every race after a long season. Annika Finzen was our top performer with 1 event win, four-Top 3 finishes (contributing 149 points to our team total) and 100% best times. Tess Boyer, Will Christie & Nick Frank also had 100% best times and Aidan White qualified for Futures in the 200 Fly with a personal best time from prelims and we had numerous finalists and best times from both prelims and finals!

Senior I:
Halee Evans and Jack Hanahan who represented Senior I with KCB at Sectionals! Both swimmers achieved best times and had a great end to the season in Columbia!
Junior I
Kinley Baber and Ashlyn Bolyard achieved their first ever sectional cuts at the MV Short Course Age Group Championships and travelled with the team to compete along-side some of the fastest swimmers in the region! Kinley achieved a best time in the 200 Breaststroke (her qualifying event) and Time Trialed the 400 IM with a sweeping time of 4:54.30 (4 seconds off of the sectionals bonus cut)! Ashlyn had an outstadng performance as well swimming back-to-back meets from Age Group Champs! She and Kinley both swam on our C 200 Medley Relay which achieved a best time of 2:10.22!
