Below is general information about our the certain financial requirements for our club.

Team Fee Requirements

Family Registration Fee:
The cost to register each family with the Kansas City Blazers is $200. This registers or renews the family in our system, provides funds to cover pool rental and entry fees prior to billing, and allows participation in various parties, activities, and prizes throughout the swim year.
Swimmer Registration Fee:
This registers each swimmer with the Kansas City Blazers and USA Swimming and costs $75 per swimmer.  Included in the registrtion fee is a Kansas City Blazer cap and shirt,  Cost is $75 for each swimmer.
Monthly Training Fees:
  • Age Group I: $110 per month
  • Age Group II: $110 per month
  • Junior II: $140
  • Junior I: $165
  • Senior I: $165
  • National: $210 - By registering for National, you are acknowledging your 11-month payment obligation to the program.
Senior Prep
Our Senior Prep group is billed as 5 different sessions throughout the year based upon $40 per week.  To learn more about our Senior Prep group and register for the program, click here.
Paying Your Invoice

All meets and training fees are billed through your Team Unify (TU) account. There are 3 ways to pay:

  • By Check - Due by the 20th of each month with checks mailed to

  • Credit Card - Auto pay can be set up on your TU Account.  TU charges a credit card fee of  3% + $0.50 of the invoice for this service. The declined credit card fee is $10.00
  • Bank Draft/ACH - Auto pay can be also set up on your TU account. The fee is $1.30 per month for this service

Note:  All Auto Pay accounts will be processed on the 1st of the month.

All payments must be received by the 20th of the month to avoid a $15.00 late fee.

Meet Fees

For our Blazer Series Meets, swimmers are charged a flat fee for entries as outlined on the meet page.

When swimmers participate in other meets, each swimmer is billed for their meet entries (which are paid by KCB to the host club), as well as coaches’ meet fees the week after the respective meet. To cover coaches' expenses associated with meets and travel, each swimmer is billed the following per meet:

  • For local meets - $10 per swimmer 
  • Out of town meets (in Missouri Valley(MV) area) - $15 per swimmer 
  • Out of town meets (oustide MV area) - $25 per meet
  • Non-Travel Meet participant - $50 per swimmer



Swim-a-thon Obligations:

Swim-A-Thon is the largest fundraiser for the Blazers. This is a fun and exciting opportunity for swimmers to obtain donations for each lap they swim or a single pledge.  The funds raised have been utilized to purchase lap tops for coaches, dryland equipment, power tower stations and coaches' training opportunities.

  • Age Group I & II Swimmers: Responsible for $100 in donations.
  • Junior II Swimmers: Responsible for $100 in donations.
  • Junior I, Senior I & National Swimmers: Responsible for $150 in donations.


Volunteer Requirements 

Swimming is a volunteer sport.  Every swim meet from beginner meets to the highest levels is staff entirely by volunteers.  Volunteer positions include timers, officials, safety marshals, meet directors, computer operators, hospitality coordinators, announcers and much more.  

Each family is responsilbe for fulfilling the volunteer obligations of the highest level swimmer in the family.  The requirements for the 2019-2020 season are listed below:  

Age Group I   10 hours
Age Group II   15 hours
Junior II           20 hours
Junior I            25 hours
Senior I            20 hours
National           25 hours
NOTE:  Families are required to fulfill their obligation regardless of whether their swimmer(s) chooses to compete in meets.  Obligations outstanding on August 31, will be billed at a rate of $25/hour.

Championship Meets hosted by Kansas City Blazers

When we host any Missouri Valley Districts, Championships families, with swimmers attending these meet, are required to work the following number of shifts for the meet.

  • MV Districts-2 shifts per family
  • MV Championships- 3 shifts per family

For Regional VIII Sectionals and Higher-level meets, 

  • Every Blazer family must work at least 2 shifts.

NOTE:  Families not fulfilling these obligations will be billed at the conclusion of the meet, 4 hours per shift at $25/hour.
