Senior Assistant Coach – Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City

Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City is in search of an up-and-coming coach to, among other things, assist the Head Coach with deck coaching of the senior groups. The candidate should have one to two years of coaching experience and be willing to be directed within the existing program. Candidate must be a USA Swimming Certified Coach (prior to or upon hiring). 

Duties are to include, but are not limited to: Deck coaching of the senior groups – swimmers aged 14 and above focusing on competition at the high school and sectional level and beyond.

The compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience. This position may grow into a regular full-time position. 

The opening is expected to be filled by the middle of December 2023 but could be filled earlier to accommodate the correct candidate.

Age Group Assistant Coach - Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City

 

Tsunami Swim Team of Kansas City is looking for knowledgeable and energized coaches that enjoy working with young swimmers while building strong connections. This coach will work with our Head Age Group Coach / Head Coach along with other age group assistants to help swimmers develop a strong swimming foundation. We practice in a variety of pools in Liberty, Missouri and immediate surroundings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching and/or swimming background is preferred.
  • Must be a USA Swimming Certified Coach (prior to or upon hiring).

 

Duties:

  • Work anywhere from 2-5 practices per week with ages ranging from 7-13.
  • Prepare and run practices for their group, collaborating closely with other coaches.
  • Engage with the swimmers throughout the practice while giving both positive and constructive feedback.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships and open communication with swimmers, parents, and other staff.
  • Help to create a positive team culture where swimmers enjoy the sport and are eager to improve, supporting our philosophy and vision of the team.

The COOL Swim Team is looking for an energized coach for its locations in Johnson County,  Kansas. COOL has rapidly expanded in the Johnson County (Kansas) Area, surpassing 300 swimmers in  2016. We are looking for a Coach who works well with others, is passionate about swimming  and a career in coaching, with strong communication and customer service skills, and who is  dedicated to developing each athlete into successful swimmers.
 
We are looking for individuals with experience coaching swimmers between the ages of 12 to  18. Candidates must have experience with competitive swimming and excellent communication skills  with the ability to communicate with swimmers as well as parents. The individual should be familiar with  Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as Gmail and Team Unify. Applicants will need to be in good standing  with USA Swimming or achieve the necessary certification before the start of employment.
 
Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
 
● Applicants can expect 15 hours of on deck time, an additional 10 hours of administration time  per week

Truman State University - Head Coach

 

Position Title Head Men's and Women's Swimming Coach
Job Responsibilities
This is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for all phases of the swimming program in a manner compatible with department and University philosophies.
 
Responsibilities:
The following primary responsibilities will include:
  • recruitment of prospective student-athletes in coordination with Office of Admissions
  • administering swimming grant-in-aid program
  • coaching, mentoring, and retaining student-athletes
  • in-season practice and meet planning; out of season conditioning
  • compliance with NCAA Division II, GLVC, and University rules and regulations
  • managing swimming operations budget including equipment, travel, recruiting, etc.
  • fundraising and alumni, community, and media relations
Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree; demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; collegiate swimming coaching and/or competing experience; knowledge of and commitment to  NCAA rules; commitment to academic success and student-athlete well-being. Also must be able to travel overnight for competition with most travel occurring during weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include: a master’s degree;  NCAA coaching/recruiting experience; and understanding of the Division II philosophy.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized age group/senior coaches with the expertise to work with our age group and senior level swimmers. This coach will be working directly with our Head Age Group Coach and Head Coach to establish technically efficient swimmers. We will accommodate flexible schedules when needed. Part-time with possible full-time possibilities.
