Silver/Bronze

$105/month*

Silver swimmers must be able to listen to and follow directions, swim all four strokes legally, and perform a racing start.  This group is geared toward skill development, including strokes, turns, starts, rules, and fun. Swimmers will be introduced to reading the clock to prepare for longer swim sets. 
Age Group: 10 and under
Practice Time: 1 hour 
Practice Yardage: up to 1,500 yards
Equipment: fins, kickboard, mesh bag, water bottle, suit, and team cap
Recommended Attendance for Success:  3 of 5 practices each week

Platinum

$140/month*

Junior swimmers must have the maturity and ability to complete a longer workout. Swimmers are expected to attend selected meets and their fastest qualified championship meet. The Gold group is geared toward further skill development and aerobic conditioning. Compete at MV District and MV Championships 
Age Group: 11-14
Practice time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Practice yardage: 1,500 – 3,500 yards
Equipment: fins, kickboard, snorkel, mesh bag, water bottle, suit, and team cap
Recommended Attendance for Success:  4 of 6 practices each week 
Training Requirements: 
  • 8 x 100 IM/FR Kick @ 2:30 
  • 6 x 50 Fly/Bk @ 1:15 
  • 6 x 50 Br @ 1:20 
  • 8 x 100 Free @ 2:00

Varsity

The Varsity group is geared toward two groups of swimmers: those trying to get in shape for high school swimming on a year round basis, and those who are working to achieve National group requirements. The focus of the Varsity group is on improving stroke technique, starts & turns, and aerobic conditioning. 
Age Group: 15-19
Practice time: 1 1/2 hours
Practice yardage: 4,000 – 5,500 yards
Equipment: fins, kickboard, paddles and pull buoy, snorkel, water bottle, mesh bag, suit, and team cap
Recommended Attendance for Success:  4 of 6 practices each week (there are NO practice requirements for this group) 
Training Requirements: 
  • 8 x 100 IM/FR Kick @ 2:30 
  • 6 x 50 Fly/Bk @ 1:15 
  • 6 x 50 Br @ 1:20 
  • 8 x 100 Free @ 2:00

National

$170/month*

The National group is our highest level of athletes whose primary activity is swimming. Swimmers in the National group need to be able to demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency in all 4 strokes. Admission to the National group requires at least 3 MV Championship Qualifying times. National swimmers are expected to attend selected meets and their fastest qualified championship meet. Training is geared toward Sectional, Junior and Senior National level qualifying times. Our goal is to develop successful collegiate athletes. Demonstrate leadership while being role models for the membership of TSA
Age Group: 15-19
Practice time: 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours
Practice yardage: 5,000 – 7,500 yards
Equipment: fins, kickboard, paddles and pull buoy, snorkel, water bottle, mesh bag, suit, and team cap  
Recommended Attendance for Success: Minimum of 7 practices per week. Occasional exceptions for illness or outside commitments may be made. 
Training Requirements:
  • 10 x 300 Free @ 4:00 or equivalent set 
  • 10 x 100 Fr/Stk kick @ 1:50 
  • 10 x 200 IM @ 3:00 
  • 10 x 100 Bk @ 1:30 
  • 10 x 100 Br & Fly @ 1:40

Adult Masters Group/ Adult Learn to Swim Class

Age: 18 and over

$60/month

Become a member of U.S. Masters Swimming today and take your swimming to the next level. Swimming is a life skill as well as great exercise and a challenging sport. Our program gives adult swimmers at every level the opportunity to improve their skills in a safe environment – and under the guidance of a trained instructor. Sign up today and build your skills and swim more efficeintly with expert instruction.

  4. Bring a check for the first month's dues of $60.

High School Prep

$110 for 6-week session

The HIgh School Prep group is a clinic for swimmers looking to prepare for the upcoming high school season.  Each session is 6 weeks. The goal is to refine starts and turns and improving overall conditioning. 
Age Group: 14-18
Practice time: 1  hour
Practice yardage: 1500 – 3000 yards
Equipment:    fins, kickboard, paddles and pull buoy, water bottle, mesh bag, suit, and team cap
Recommended Attendance for Success:  Swimmers are recommended to attend as many practices of the 3 practices each week


High School Boys Session 1               October  4 – November 12

Pre-competition Swim for Middle and High School Swimmers

$105/month

The Pre-Competition group is designed for swimmers looking to prepare for the high school swimming season or gain initial experience in competitive swimming before making a year round commitment. The goal is develop the fundamentals of all 4 competitive strokes, refine starts and turns, and improving overall conditioning. 
Age Group: 13-18
Practice time: 1  hour
Practice yardage: 1500 – 3000 yards
Equipment:     fins, kickboard, paddles and pull buoy, water bottle, mesh bag, suit, and team cap
Recommended Attendance for Success:  Swimmers are recommended to attend as many practices of the 3 practices each week
 
 
College Swim Program
$150/month
 
College swimmers wishing to participate in our program during the summer months. 
Practice time: 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours
Practice yardage: 5,000 – 7,500 yards

The  Topeka Swim Association  offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the  Topeka Swim Association  to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. 
 
 
Parent/Toddler Swim Classes: Tadpole
 
Our swim school program is divided into five total levels.  Levels 1-4 are geared toward teaching swimmers to be relaxed, confident and happy in the water.  As the levels progress, students will learn the basic skills of freestyle, backstroke, flutter kick, streamline, and introduce breaststroke and butterfly kick.  Level 5 or Team Prep incorporate all the skills learned and is focused on building the swimmer’s endurance in order to “prep” them to be a part of our competitive swim team by swimming longer distances (25 and 50 yards) at a time. 
 
Level 1: Starfish (ages 3-5 years)
Level 2: Sea Turtle (ages 5-7 years and older)
Level 3: Seahorse (ages 5-7 years and older)
Level 4: Seal (ages 5-7 years and older)
Level 5: Dolphin/Team Prep (ages 6-9 years)
 
 
We are also offering learn to swim classes for adults and teenagers.
