Athletes around the world must follow the same standards regarding substances and methods prohibited in sport. The sole exception is if an athlete has filed for and received an official therapeutic use exemption, also known as a TUE (to be submitted at least 30 days in advance). Athletes are held to strict liability for anything ingested via mouth, eyes, nose, ears, or even through the skin. Note: supplements are not evaluated or approved by the FDA before they are sold. We encourage a food-first approach to performance and recovery.
