Nelson and Sewell Break Two Team Records on Day 1 Of the Midwestern Championships

Lincoln, July 26, 2019 – Brownell Talbot swimmers came up big on Day 1 of the Midwestern Championships at the Woods Pool in Lincoln.

Ingrid Nelson and Tommy Sewell set two New Team Records. Tommy Sewell broke Will Raynor 14-year-old Team Record in the 200-meter Backstroke. Ingrid Nelson broke her own Team Record in the Girls 50-meter Butterfly.

Carter Hiley finished his day with 100% best times.

Day 1 Recap

Carter Hiley,12, 200 Freestyle 2:31.22 - 6th Place with a Life Time Best. 100 Breaststroke 1:34.30 - 5th Place with a Life Time Best.

 

Ingrid Nelson, 12, 50 Butterfly 35.15 - 9th Place with a NEW Team Record. 400 IM 6:43.28 - 17th Place just off her personal best.

 

Tommy Sewell, 12, 200 Backstroke 2:53.51 - 6th Place and he Broke a 14-year-old Team Record. 400 IM 6:35.03 - 5th Place just off his personal best. 
 

The meet continues through Sunday in Lincoln.
