Job Title: Head Coach of F.A.S.T./Assistant Aquatics Manager. Full-time

  Fremont Area Swim Team (FAST) is a dual-affiliated competitive YMCA/USA swim team in Fremont, Nebraska that swims under the Midwestern Swimming LSC. We are looking for a well- organized, energetic Head coach with a great understanding of swimmer development and stroke technique, who is also a “self-starter” with a strong work ethic, moral values, and is a team player. The head coach will also manage 2-3 assistant coaches. Must be able to have the ability to coach elite high school swimmers, down to beginner age group swimmers.

  Currently, FAST has 65 registered swimmers and still growing! In February of 2018 the Fremont Family YMCA finished building a state of the art Aquatics Center, this is the FAST home pool.
We train in a 12 lane 25-yard Myrtha pool, also 6 lanes 50-meters. Fully equipped with Colorado timing system, 24 touch pads, and score board.

  FAST has had several Sectional Qualifiers, and one Futures qualifier. FAST competes in two Championship meets every winter, the YMCA State meet and the USA Midwestern Championships. We compete in Long course over the summer and attend the USA Midwestern Championships in July. FAST is also a part of the Northeast Husker summer rec-league, head coach will have to manage and attend those summer league meets in small towns around Fremont. FAST will host one short course meet per season, one long course meet per season, also one summer rec league meet. The coach will have to help organize and run all of these hosted meets.

Requirements:


 Lifeguard and CPR/First-aid certified (Red Cross).
 USA Swimming coach certification (completed background check, safe sport, etc)
 YMCA Coach certified (can complete in the first season if needed).
 Minimum of three years of coaching experience.
 A working knowledge of Team Manager, Meet Manager, and Team Unify with excellent communication and general computer skills is required.

  Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and job responsibilities. The right candidate will also be involved with management duties around the Dillon Family Aquatics Center. For example, opening and closing the pool, working the front desk, and helping the DFAC management staff with any other tasks.
