Who We Are

Sarpy County Swim Club was founded in 1994 and is a USA Swimming member club and 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Papillion, NE. SCSC provides training and competitive opportunities to swimmers of all abilities to reach their individual and team goals. Our well-qualified coaching staff, dedicated board and strong parent participation allows us to help swimmers develop water-safety skills, build swimming technique and performance and create leaders both in and out of the pool. We strive to provide an environment for athletes to build sportsmanship and strength of character, while helping the swimmer reach their full potential. Our vision is to inspire and enable our members to achieve excellence in the sport of swimming and in life. We support and value all swimmers whatever their level, from novice to international.

Hello, Seawolves friends and families!

During this holiday season, Sarpy County Swim Club is participating in the International Day of Generosity, known as GivingTuesday. We believe every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give. Together, our gifts to give come in many forms, such as helping support our team through volunteerism, to offering to carpool with a busy parent, or donating through monetary or in-kind donations. Many of these donations may qualify for a tax deduction (please consult a tax advisor). Any way you may choose to give, we are grateful for our swimmers and families, and all of the memories and opportunities we have made in the past, and what we will accomplish in the future.

We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to use the aquatics facility and equipment at Papillion La Vista High School and instead of requiring swimmers to purchase all of their own training equipment, we try to provide training gear for our swimmers and over time, the equipment begins to age and needs replaced, as it is shared by the Seawolves and PLHS/PLSHS high school team. In previous years, Sarpy County Swim Club and the Monarch Athletic Booster Club have helped with purchasing new equipment for the pool, most recently the heat and event scoreboard attachment. This year, we are looking to replace 50 sets of training fins and tempo trainers that are utilized by all of our groups. Swimming fins, also known as “flippers”, allow swimmers to focus on technique and performance, while zooming through the water. Tempo trainers, are primarily used by the junior and senior groups. These electronic devices transmit audible beeps that help the swimmer develop consistent pace and tempo that helps benefit them in competition.

In addition to sharing your generosity through donations, another great and easy way to participate in GivingTuesday is to become a volunteer! SCSC has many rewarding ways for parents to get involved through committees, becoming a USA Swimming official or serving on the board of directors! Volunteers are the backbone of our swim team, and together we can all work together to continue creating a fun, memorable and competitive swim team for our athletes. We all have gifts to give, and with social media, online giving, phones and volunteer opportunities, there are limitless ways to use your generosity to support others.

Our donation form will be open all of November and through GivingTuesday on November 28! Thank you for your continued support of the Sarpy County Seawolves and happy holidays!
