Nicholas Baker Head Coach/Senior Lead Coach

Nick began his swimming career with the Millard Aquatic Club and swam at Millard South High School.  As a swimmer Nick was a medalist at the Metro Conference Swim Meet as well as the Nebraska State Swim Meet. After high school, Nick attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he helped start the UNL Swim Club.  During college, Nick coached with the Greater Nebraska Swim Team in Lincoln, as well as assisted with Lincoln Northeast High School for two seasons.  Nick began coaching with Sarpy County Swim Club in 2011 and became the head coach of the club in 2015.  Nick primarily coaches the Senior level groups.  Additionally, Nick is a teacher at Papillion-La Vista High School and the head swim coach of Papillion-La Vista/Papillion-La Vista South's men's and women's swim teams, a role he took on in 2013 after assisting for two years.

Eric Rees Associate Head Coach/Juniors

Eric was a competitive swimmer growing up for local clubs and Papillion La Vista High School.  He swam for the University of South Dakota after graduating from high school.  He began coaching for Monarch Swim Club (now Sarpy County Swim Club) in 1995 and coached until 2009, when he took time off to be with his family.  He was also an assistant coach for 16 seasons (1995-2010) with Papillion La Vista High School.  Eric returned to coaching SCSC in 2016.

Jeff Daniels Junior Group Lead Coach

Jeff joined the team in October 1997.  He teaching K-8 Physical Education at St. Bernadette School in Omaha from July 1997-January 2012. He has been subbing in Bellevue, OPS, and the Archdioses since then. He would like a full time Job if one comes around. He has always loved swimming, and was a very good swimmer. He was never able to participate in a competitive setting.

Barbara Anderson Seawolves Group Lead Coach

Barb joins SCSC as one of our Developmental and Competitive coaches.  She swam competitively as a child and attended Kearney State on a full swimming scholarship.  Barb comes to us with a vast variety of swimming experiences.  She has taught swim lessons for 19 years; coached the Offutt Swim Team (1972-1979) and Ralston USAA Swimming (1973-1979) and in San Antonio, Texas (1983-1995).  Through her previous position as the Aquatics Director at Prairie Life Center in Ralston she has rediscovered her love for competitive swimming herself and is now a United States Masters Swimmer (USMS).

Riley Olson Senior Group Assistant Coach

Riley has grown up around the water. He began swimming for Papio Pool as an age group swimmer prior to joining Sarpy County Swim Club. In high school, Riley swam with the Papillion La Vista/Papillion La Vista South High School swim team, and attended Truman State University as a collegiate athlete for four years. Riley began his coaching career with the Papio Pool Dolphins and is currently an assistant swim coach with the PLV/PLVS high school team. In addition to being an assistant coach at the high school, Riley teaches special education at PLHS.

Emma Daniels Seawolves Assistant Coach

Emma was a competitive swimmer for 13 years at SCSC. She worked as a junior coach for the Seawolves for a year and then coached at Genesis for the last year.  Emma has since returned to the Seawolves and is coaching the Seawolves Bronze group.

Ramon Baquero-Cruz Seawolves Assistant Coach

Coach Ray has over 40 years of aquatic experience which began as a competitive swimmer at Plantation High School in Plantation, FL and club swimmer at the Fort Lauderdale Swim Team under former U.S. Olympic Swim Coach, Jack Nelson.

Coach Ray’s coaching experience is extensive: former head coach in Panama City, FL; assistant coach in Biloxi, MS; assistant coach with Team Nebraska, Ralston; head development coach with Monarch Swimming, Papillion head coach in Lake Jackson, TX; head high school coach North High School, Omaha; assistant coach Brownell-Talbot, Omaha; assistant coach with Metro Omaha Swim Team (MOST); and coach at Inspire.

He has an excellent reputation for developing young swimmer’s technique and passion for swimming.  Coach Ray is growth minded, so he is continually researching ways to better coach and communicated to young swimmer the best and most efficient ways to improve strokes.

Maddie Huebert Seawolves & Junior Assistant Coach

Maddie has been swimming since she was seven years old, but competitively since 8th grade. In Virginia, she swam for the Sea Devils swim team, then moved back to Papillion her junior year of high school and joined SCSC and the PLV/PLVS high school swim team. Maddie attends the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and coaches with the Greater Nebraska Swim Team while attending school, and is coaching with SCSC for the summer.

Danielle Barrera-Bojanski Seawolves Junior Coach

Danielle is currently a competitive swimmer for Sarpy County Swim Club starting at the age of 7. She also swims on the Papillion LaVista High School team. She volunteered for a year before becoming a junior coach. 

Janet Cho Team Administrator

Janet Cho joined the SCSC staff as Team Administrator in February 2022. She began her swimming career in 2013 when her children began swimming with SCSC. Throughout those years, Janet was an active volunteer with the team, leading the social and spirit committee, volunteering at meets, managing meet entries, helping run home meets and serving on the Board of Directors. As the Team Administrator, Janet manages the "dry-side" day-to-day operations of the team, including meet entries and registration.
