Jersey Storm Swim Pre-Swim Team Program 2019-2020

 

Goal: Pre-Team swimmers advance from Level 1 to Level 4, once completed they are

ready to join the team at the Bronze Level
 

Cost: $100/6 lessons (one practice per week for six weeks)
*make-up dates will be the date immediately following the end dates, the same day

as the lesson
 

Dates:

Session 2: November 7th-December 19th (No class November 28th)

Session 3: January 9th-February 13th

Session 4: March 5th-April 16th (No class April 2nd)

Session 5: May 7th-June 11th

Session 6: June 18th-July 23rd SESSION 6 WILL BE AT OUTDOOR POOL AND EACH GROUP WILL START 1 HOUR EARLIER!!!
 

Capacity: Max of 6 students per class
 

Class Levels and Times*
Level 1 (ages 4 yrs and on): This is the first step in learning to swim. The main focus

is on independent water entry and exit, buoyancy, proper arm and leg movement, and

increasing overall comfort in the water.

Thurs 6:00-6:30PM
 

Level 2: The focus in level two is on breath control, moving through the water

independently, flotation, streamline, and stroke mechanics for freestyle and backstroke.

Thurs 6:30-7PM
 

Level 3: This class focuses on expanding freestyle and backstroke stroke knowledge

and skill, treading water, diving, and streamlining under water. Breaststroke and Butterfly

mechanics are introduced

Thurs 7-7:30PM
 

Level 4: This course continues the skills learned in level 3. The focus is on stroke

enhancement and swimming endurance (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and

Butterfly), treading water, diving from the starting blocks, flip turns/open turns, and

general stroke and turn refinement.

Thurs 7:30-8PM

Registration will open approximately 4 weeks prior to the start of the session. Before then, you may not be able to access the registration page.

The registration process is simple for both new and returning families. You?ll get access to your own private account to view/edit your contact information and current and past class histories. To Register:

  1. Select the Location from the pull-down above
  2. Select/click on the desired Program below [Blue bar(s) below]
  3. Select the Sub-Program tab.
  4. Select the Class
  5. Click on the Red Class Cost/Days/Times to pick the day and time
  6. Click on the red Register Button
