Swim Across America - Team MSA in Times Square!
MSA Masters is the adult version of MSA. It is a group of 150 adults that train at Tom Short and Indian Trail offering 16 workout opportunities per week. Our team has athletes ranging in age 18 to 77 years young! We have former competitive pool swimmers, triathletes and dedicated fitness swimmers all training together as one team.
For the past four years MSA Masters has participated in Swim Across America Charlotte. This event raises funds to support ground-breaking cancer research at the Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital. Swim Across America is a program that is thirty years old and has events all across America. Each event is paired with a local cancer research entity. Annually SAA raises about 6 million dollars that funds cancer research.
In four years MSA Masters became the first team in Charlotte to raise $100,000.00 and this year we have the potential to reach the $200,00.00 mark. Our team goal is bold. We want to raise $50,000.00 this year. Last year we had 51 team members and this year our goal is 70!

Recently Swim Across America was featured in Time Square on the huge screens. MSA Masters was on display in Time Square in recognition for our dedication and fund raising efforts!
Our open water event will be held October 3rd, 2021 at Camp Thunderbird. We will also schedule a pool version that is only available to our MSA Team members.
