Bryan Walls Head Coach

Coach Walls just finished his Twelfth year of coaching. A native of Indiana, Coach Walls has been involved with swimming for nineteen years as an athlete and a coach. A state finalist in cross country, swimming, and track & field Coach Walls went on to compete in all three sports at the University of Indianapolis, a division II institution. Coach Walls transferred to UND in the fall of 1997. Currently an ASCA level Four age group coach, Coach Walls has coached YMCA All Americans, multiple zone and age group state champions as well as several high school state champions. North Dakota coach of the year in the summer of 2002 and spring of 2003 and winter of 2009  Coach Walls has been the head coach of the RRV Wahoos since the fall of 2002. Coach Walls also teaches sixth grade art at Valley Middle School and South Middle School in Grand Forks, ND.

He currently lives in Grand Forks with his wife Sara, son Jackson, and twin daughters Madiline and Reese.

Amanda Warzecha Head Age Group Coach

Amanda Warzecha is in her fourth-year coaching the Wahoos and for the past two seasons has coached the Grand Forks junior varsity high school swim team. Originally from Minnesota, Coach Amanda has been involved in aquatics for over ten years as an athlete and coach. She competed in the top sixteen at the MSHSL Swimming and Diving Championships and was voted MVP by teammates her senior year. Amanda spent seven years as a water safety instructor and lifeguard, while leading others as a veteran WSI. Coach Amanda is currently resident teaching within the Grand Forks School District to receive her Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, as well as Emotional & Behavioral Disturbances. Coach Amanda believes in the dedication and commitment of young swimmers to accomplish above and beyond what they ever thought possible.“Never underestimate anyone, especially yourself.”

Reed Erickson Age Group Coach


Reed Erickson is a new coach to the Wahoos. For the past seven years he has been a swimmer for the team, his main strokes being backstroke and butterfly. Reed also swam for the Knight Riders high school team for six years. Reed was made captain his senior year and had made state five out of the six years on the high school team. Reed is going to UND in the fall of 2019 where he will major in business. He also teaches swim lessons for the Grand Forks Parks District and loves being in the pool.
