Erika Sheinhait Head Coach
Erika Sheinhait joined BAT in 2021 after three years as an age group coach at Metrowest YMCA Stingrays in Framingham.
Erika completed a degree in sport management from Western New England University in December 2017 and completed an MBA at WNE in June 2019. While at WNE, she was a two-time captain and helped lead her team to some of its most successful finishes at the NEISDA Championship. Erika rewrote the WNE swimming record book in 16 events during her college career.
Erika was also a member of the Framingham High School Girls Varsity Swim & Dive Team that won four straight conference championships and two Massachusetts South Sectional titles. She brings coaching experience from Metrowest Aquatic Club and Framingham Park & Rec Swim Team, both of which she swam on before going to college.
Amy Sheinhait Age Group Coach

Amy comes to BAT with a fierce love of the sport and a passion for education.

She started swimming competitively at 6 years old and began coaching at age 15. Amy was a record holder and 3-time Bay State Conference All-Star as a member of the Framingham High School Girls’ Varsity Swimming & Diving Team. Following graduation from high school, Amy attended Brandeis University to study computer science.

While at Brandeis, she was a 4 year member of the swimming and diving team. Amy specialized in the sprint freestyle and backstroke events-- graduating with multiple university records and all-conference awards. She also returned to her former club team, Metrowest Aquatic Club, as a coach in 2015, where she worked with multiple New England Silvers and Age Group Championship qualifiers--of all ages.

By day, Amy also works as a software engineer.

Nathan Barton Assistant Age Group Coach

Nathan Barton comes to BAT after 5 years at the Boys and Girls Club Watertown. He has worked with swimmers of all ages and takes special pride in working with those with learning disabilities.

Coach Nathan learned how to scuba dive at age 10 and became PADI certified shortly thereafter. Having been on 70+ dives in oceans across the world, it is this fascination with water that led to his love of competitive swimming. Joining the Minuteman High School swim with no formal training, Nathan applied himself and developed into a competitive swimmer and leader on the team—serving as captain of the team during his senior year season.

Coach Nathan loves giving back and celebrating success alongside his swimmers. He believes in the power of the Individual Medley and consistent effort.

He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Education.
