Why EDGE?

EDGE swimmers are welcomed to a community that values each teammember equally. At the EDGE we believe in the success of every athlete both in and out of the pool, regardless of age, gender, background - whether they are new to the sport or qualifying for national-level meets. Our coaches are invested in helping swimmers realize their potential and in facilitating their growth in the sport.

We focus on process over result. We believe that athletes honor themselves and their teammates through effort. While awards and fast times are signifiers of success, we teach our swimmers that they can also experience success by nailing a race strategy, celebrating their teammates' accomplishments, making a new friend, and remaining focused on the present. We take tremendous pride in our focus on sportsmanship and togetherness.

Our athletes have access to tremendous facilities and services all under one roof: physical therapy, registered dieticians, personal trainers, Parisi Speed School, state-of-the-art field house. The EDGE is dedicated to the success of our athletes, and we can't wait to work with you!

Program Description

Our USA Swimming long course program takes place from late March until early August. It is a more rigorous and structured program compared to recreational programs like that of our Summer Team. Similar to other club sports like soccer and hockey, swimmers train with their practice group and compete in meets throughout the season, ultimately finishing with the championship meet(s) they have qualified for. Long Course provides an excellent, structured training program that pushes athletes to their limits while providing the fun atmosphere that spring and summer sports bring! Due to the small number of 50-meter pools in the area, all meets are out-of-state travel meets (including outdoor pools!). This provides excellent competition from around the region for our swimmers to push themselves against.

Through practices, team events, swim meets and community service efforts, our athletes learn so much more than just technique, endurance, and race strategy. They earn to become stronger individuals. They learn to give their best effort to contribute to the efforts of the whole team. They learn that part of becoming a great swimmer is giving back to the sport that teaches so much about dedication, camaraderie, focus, and how what you get out is only as much as you put in.

During the season, one of our biggest goals is to turn our swim team into a swim family, and we hope you will join our excellent coaching staff and wonderful swimmers as we practice together, compete together, donate time to the community together, and have numerous team events together as we make that happen! We offer a two week trial period so families can see what all the fun is about! Learn more about it in the enrollment section of this page.

Training Levels Offered: Bronze, Silver, Gold

Communication

Our coaching staff works hard to make sure our swim family stays well informed throughout the whole season. There are monthly bulletins that families can refer to for important information, communications before and after meets so everyone knows what to expect, as well as other supplemental information.

We ask that families check their email regularly as that is our primary method of communication. We also strongly utilize our social media channels and the News section of the website to keep everybody informed.
