EDGE swimmers Aiden Boyle, Charlie Fahey, Heath Schnipke, Lucy Stadtmauer and Zach Mitchell rocked this weekend at the 10&U Challenge Meet held at the University of New Hampshire.  First and foremost, we had fun.  All of our 10&U swimmers cheered each other on, supported one another, made new friends and engaged in some serious bottle flipping competitions.  We had a blast!

This small but mighty group made EDGE history this weekend. With just five swimmers, the team placed 9th overall in combined scoring, and the boys placed 3rd overall.
For the first time in EDGE Swim Club history, we had a 10&U Boys relay team. Charles Fahey, Heath Schnipke, Aiden Boyle and Zach Mitchell broke the team records in all three relays. Both the 400yd and 200yd Freestyle relays placed 3rd overall, and the 200yd Medley relay WON their event and posted a new team record of 2:18.43!
In the individual events, Lucy Stadtmauer came in first place in the 25yd Breaststroke with a time of 17.74, a new 9-10 EDGE record.  Lucy also had a strong 100yd Breaststroke swim placing 22nd overall, and brought her A-game in the 50yd Breaststroke placing 5th overall.
Charlie Fahey had eight top ten individual finishes: 9th in the 100yd IM, 2nd in the 500yd Freestyle, 3rd in the 200yd IM, 6th in the 100yd Freestyle, 9th in the 50yd Backstroke, 3rd in the 200yd Freestyle, 7th in the 100yd Butterfly, and 5th in the 100yd Backstroke. Charlie was the 5th place boy overall at the meet with 71 points and 3rd place in the IMX Challenge Events.
Zach Mitchell dropped a collective 27.49 seconds off of his events, finishing 13th in the 100yd IM, 19th in the 200yd IM, 18th in the 100yd Freestyle, 18th in the 50yd Backstroke, 21st in the 100yd Backstroke and placed 9th in the 50yd Breaststroke.
Heath Schnipke, 9 years old, brought the team home with a stunning (and exciting) 50 yard leg in the 200yd Medley Relay, and placed 6th in the 25yd Freestyle, 10th in the 25yd Backstroke, 47th in the 100yd IM, 47th in the 50yd Butterfly, 43rd in the 100yd Freestyle, 53rd in the 50yd Backstroke, and 40th in the 50yd Freestyle.
Aiden Boyle, also age 9, placed 3rd in the 25yd Freestyle and the 25yd Butterfly, 21st in the 50yd Butterfly, and 31st in the 50yd Freestyle. He was hands down the champion bottle flipper!
We as a coaching staff are extremely proud of our swimmers. Please congratulate these athletes when you see them.
