Summer Team: Week 4 in Review

Logan Hall-Potvin

  • Well done, EDGE Family! Would you believe we are already HALF WAY through the season? Time flies when you’re having fun! We had a very fun meet this past week against the Burlington Country Club, and celebrated the Fourth of July with our Tie-Dye Day! Read on to read more about our adventures from week four of our summer season.

  • Kendall St. Peter! This submission said, Kendall could always be found with a smile on her face and cheering for her teammates between races! She is also willing and eager to step up and participate in relays when her name is called. Thanks for rocking it, Kendall!
  • Caleb Workman! This submission said, “Caleb is also a Long Course swimmer who practices at 6 in the morning. He has been staying after quite a few practices to help with our younger swimmers to give them technical feedback and getting to know them better. He is also one of the loudest voices during our team cheers. Thanks for being a great teammate, Caleb!”

  • Recap: Our friends from Burlington Country Club brought a very experienced and talented crew to our Eastwood pool for the third CVSL Dual Meet of the season. BCC has had a strong tradition of loud cheering and experienced volunteers and coaches, and this continues to shine through at the meets they attend! Our EDGE swimmers stuck around to the end of the meet, showing great sportsmanship and dropping a LOT of time in our races. Our older swimmers once again set a great example for our younger swimmers and we could always find EDGE swimmers on the deck cheering loudly. Thanks to our AMAZING parent volunteers, we are three for three with dual meets ending BEFORE 8:00PM!

TEAM EVENT: Tie-Dye Day!

  • What better design for a team t-shirt than TIE-DYE WITH OUR TEAM COLORS? We got together on Friday and tie-dyed our team t-shirts our staple navy and light blues. A huge thank you is in order for all the parents that helped make it happen, the swimmers that helped tie-dye shirts for those who couldn’t make it, and Coach Emily for organizing and making the event a huge success for the second year in a row!

Here's to an even better Week 5 of fun in the sun! Go EDGE!!!
