Kayla Skinner 1 st Assistant Coach

1st Assistant Coach 9/2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020       Kayla started her swimming career with Kent County Y when she was two, and continued onto USA swim teams throughout high school.  For high school she attended The Prout School where she swam Division I, and was an honor roll student.  She was a Division I, NCAA swimmer and dance team member for Sacred Heart University, where she was in the pre-PT program.  In 2010 she transferred to the University of Rhode Island.  Maintaining Dean's List, she earned a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Heath Fitness.  Also while attending URI, Kayla assisted the Athletic Trainers for two years and is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Most recently she is a certified yoga instructor, teaching at the South County Y, and substituting at Laughing Elephant Yoga.  In summer she lifeguards at Narragansett town beach.  Kayla joined the Liquid Space family in the summer of 2015 and is a ASCA level 2 coach.  Discovering her love of coaching kids for the past three years, she plans on attending graduate school at URI to receive her masters in Physical Education.

Rebecca Younts Assistant Coach

"This is Rebecca Younts’ second year coaching for Liquid Space Swim Club. She previously gave swim lessons at the Rollingwood Swim Club and was an assistant coach for the Five Oaks Swim Club in Catonsville, Maryland. She is an Animal Science major at the University of Rhode Island and is on the university’s division 1 swim team. She plans to go to veterinary school after receiving her bachelor's in animal science and then becoming a veterinarian for the U.S army."
