New England Swimming

Welcome,

The LSSC Coaching staff is dedicated to the long term development of all our athletes.  Our 'swim culture' is positively impacted by all of our coaches, swimmers, parents, and families working together in a team environment for our swimmers to progress.  We do it by caring for our swimmers and continually focusing their development on:

  • Character
  • Commitment
  • Technique
  • Times

Our Liquid Space Swim Club is a year round competitive USA Swim Team offering high quality professional coaching and advanced technique instruction for all ages and abilities.  LSSC is an athlete centered, coach directed club focused on doing what is best for the long-term good of the athlete.  We are team making an impact, creating our team traditions while establishing our clubs competitive history.

The Liquid Space Swim Club started in 2010 long course season. We had our first National Team qualifier in 2013, from then to the present season(s) we produced annually new national cut swimmers and more improving age group swimmersat all levels. In 2016 we had our first age group alumni swimming in NCAA Division 1 scholarship atheltes in Collenge/University programs.  From then to the present season(s) we produced annually new NCAA Div 1 , Div 2, Div 3 student/atheltes swimmers entering Collenge/University programs, with several on scholarship.  In the spring of 2019 we were proud to witness LSSC graduate our first NCAA Division 1 student/athlete swimmers.  We continue on this path.

Our Long Course Season  program runs May first to mid August.  A terrific spring/summer training program with 3-4 meets and age group championships, team events and alternative training experiences.  We train LCM at the University of Rhode Islands upgraded and renovated Tootell Aquatics Center, and at the South County Y facility.

During remaining school months of May and June we train our groups during afternoons 3:00-5:30 PM.  Our tradition during the beautiful summer months of July and August transitions all groups to a morning pool training schedule...so we can spend time at our gorgeous Southern Rhode Island beaches.  Every July & August the team also trains open water at Narragansett Beach!  Yes after swimming, the LSSC team surfs!

We continue our swim culture of advanced training in the pool while also training drylands by utilizing the pool deck, off site specialty dryland facilities, and multiple outdoor challenge environments.  The  Special Events Schedule has travel training day trips, guest experts, athlete guest, our summertime open water swims  at Narragansett Town Beach, and our senior swimmers compete in two local open water race events, team members also compete in a local 5K Road Race Challenge, and throughout the season we enjoy team social events.  We end every long course season LCM season with our Annual August LSSC Team Surf Beach Party !

Our coaches, are certified members of USA Swimming, the American Swimming Coaches Association and have access to the most comprehensive training and certification programs for coaches of any sport in the United States.  Our LSSC Team coach training program supports and requires additional clinics and training events designed to enhance, challenge and educate our coaches.  The education our coaches receive combined with specific Head Coach directed team philosophy provides assurances that the time your children spend in swimming with LSSC will be quality time.
