A few FAQ's :

Does the team have limited spots?  Yes, we normally have a number cap on team & training groups to guarantee a best principals coach to swimmer ratio and provide low lane numbers for training.  2021 Covid restrictions are in place and further limit our group numbers.  We have only a few openings in our Senior Training Groups 12-18 yrs.  We do have multiple openings in our Middy 11-12 yrs and Junior 9-10 yrs and our younger 10 & Under Development Groups ages 7-10 yrs for LCM.
How often do swimmers train weekly?
Senior  12-18 yr (5-8 weekly trainings)     Middy 11-12 yr  (5-6 weekly trainings)
Juniors 9-10 yr  (4-5 weekly trainings)     10 & Under Development (3 weekly trainings)

Can I sign up for only a few days a week, or just summer and not spring?  No. Our team has many spring multi-sport swimmers, and others with scheduled activities that can conflict with swim training. However, although we support the efforts of younger swimmers to have multiple activities we cannot afford to hold spots in reserve for swimmers.  Swimmers may commit and pay for full LCM season May thru August.  Absences due to schedule conflicts, family vacations, illness, injury, family and/or social commitments may occur with notification to coaching staff but will not be prorated from dues. We understand some swimmers will have absences and short family vacations during these spring/summer months which is acceptable, but the dues will not be reduced.  Swimmers registering with team are financially obligated to pay for the entire LCM season.

Are there meets?  Yes, the summer USA meet offerings are planned for May, June, July.  Open water race events are planned during July & August.  We plan to have the meet schedule posted, and will then release our meet declaration process.  *But please be aware covid travel restrictions may apply, and entry in USA meets in New England is not guaranteed.  We try to offer local Rhode Island meet opportunities and also team travel meets to Massachusetts, or Connecticut for LCM meet opportunities. The USA Championship meets are held in mid to late July, and all swimmers with cut times are expected to compete.  Meet entry fees are auto charged to participating swimmer accounts after the meet weekend completes.

How do I receive important information and schedule changes or updates from the club?  The Liquid Space Swim Club team website is communications central for everyone.  The team calendar, meet info, updates and schedule changes will all be online 24/7.  The first week of every month the club newsletter share upcoming notices, USA Swimming and LSSC Club information.  Email is used for notification and announcements sent with links to club website for full details.  The On Deck App ‘Team Feed’ and the club 'Instagram App’ are used by club for weather updates, facility cancelations or pending schedule changes, birthday announcement, sharing motivational quotes, training videos & photos and/or reminders for swimmers and parents to view specific details on club website.
