The Team
The Sailfish Swim Team was started in September of 2012 to provide competitive swimming, technique improvements and training to athletes in the South Shore. We will promote swimming and safety in and around the water. Swimmers on the team range in age from 6-18 years.
League Swimming
The Sailfish Swim Team competes in dual meet leagues as well as with USA Swimming and AAU Swimming.
Our Dual Meet league during the fall/winter Short Course (25yard pool) season is the Eastern Massachusetts Coastal Swim League. The Sailfish were the 2015 EMCSL First Place Champions, Our summer league is the South Shore Swim League (some pools are 25 yard/some 25 meter). We were 2014 Third Place Champions.
Our USA Swimming team competes at many regional USA swim meets during both the short course (fall/winter) and long course (spring/summer- 50 meter pools). Most of our swimmers are highly competitive in the New England Regional Championship meets and we have a few competitors at Age Group Championships.
This summer, we are also competing with the AAU Swimming and have 34 swimmers going to the National Junior Olympics meet in Newport News VA.
