Laura Crossman Beverly Assistant Coach
John Chambers Beverly Assistant Coach
Eric Baumeister Beverly Assistant Coach
Eric has been a coach with YNS since the spring of 2019. He assists with Beverly's Tiger Shark, Hammerhead, Mako, AGE, High School, Pre-Nat, and National groups. Outside of these groups, Eric also coaches the Beverly Master's team.
Eric began swimming competitively for YNS when he was 11. He was a latecomer to water. His technique in pre-team was abysmal, and he was frighteningly slow, but his coach Katie gave him a shot at the swim team if he promised he would focus and work a little harder to keep up with people much bigger, stronger, older, and more experienced than himself. In three years he was qualifying for national competitions. Ever since he started walking the deck in coach's shoes, he's been sure to instill in athletes both patience, focus, and the axiom to do their best -- only then will potential energy turn kinetic.
Eric currently resides in Gloucester, MA. He enjoys writing -- he makes a point to write 50,000 words a month. At this time, his favorite books are "Widow Basquiat" by Jennifer Clement and "Gilead" by Marilynne Robinson.
