Jennifer Brehob LVO Masters Coach

As a Bronze and Age Group coach, Jen gained experience first teaching group lessons since 1999 and the Bronze Group since 2004 where she learned first hand from Coach Susan Guertin. She is an Assistant Coach at Marblehead High School, USMS Certified Coach Level 3, and ASCA Level 2 coach. Jen's strengths as a Masters Coach at YNS derive from improving fitness and technique in a group setting so that swimmers can compete at high levels or simply enjoy a built-in workout group meeting at regular intervals.

Jen taught herself to swim at age 5 on a beach in Cape Ann, graduated from Marblehead High School, where she is an assistant Swim Team Coach, received her BA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and her Masters from the University of Texas at Austin. She led an excavation of the first of 12 tombs discovered in an old olive grove/new lettuce patch which turned out to be the ancient Necropolis of Metapontion (Greek) Metapontum (Latin) in Southern Italy. She was also fortunate to be one of 5 crew on a TransAtlantic sailboat crossing from Antigua, in the West Indies, to Pula, in Croatia with stops in the Azores, Calabria and Venice en route!

Jen has three children, a daughter in 1st year of her Research Masters in Landscape Architecture at Harvard, and boy/girl twins a daughter who graduated with a Geology Degree from UMass, Amherst, and a son employed at the Marblehead House of Pizza.

Jen graduated with honors as a Certified Paralegal at North Shore Community College in January, 2018 and is looking to understand the water safety at Nahant Beach enough to set up ocean swimming there soon.

Eric Baumeister Cape Ann & Beverly Masters Coach

Eric Baumeister is the Beverly and Cape Ann Masters Coach.

Eric joined the YNS coaching staff in Spring 2019 at the Cape Ann YMCA, where he doubled the pre-team program's roster, the private lessons roster, and cemented a pipeline from swim lessons to swim team. During his time at the Beverly YMCA he worked with all skill levels and helped many swimmers of 14 and younger qualify for high-level competition for the first time. Since then he has coached for Beverly and Salem for all ages and skill levels.

Since September 2021 he has been coordinator for the YNS Masters team, where he aims to expand the program and help its swimmers be the best people they can be, in and out of the pool.
