As the PalMac Swim Club we believe that a swimmer’s growth and improvement as a swimmer and an individual are of utmost importance. Any swimmer, with water skills, will improve performance if he/she commits to consistent practice, adopts the teachings of our coaches, believes in teamwork, and most of all believes in himself/herself as a competitor. Our team emphasizes that everyone in PMSC is a competitor who contributes to our success. This results in our primary celebration being achievement of new personal “best times” for each swimmer.
Swimmers do NOT have to participate in USA sanctioned swim meets, however, our end goal is for all swimmers to have the skills to participate in a swim meet. To prepare the younger or new swimmers, a "Mock Meet" will be held at least once per season at our pool to increase confidence and let swimmers show off their skills. Swimmers new to competitive swimming will have the opportunity to participate in USA swim meets when they, their parents, and coaches feel they are ready.
