Turkey Splash Results

The Titans took to the Southtowns for the Turkey Splash Invitational hosted by TWST on November 21st. The Titans did not swim like they just finished eating a big Thanksgiving dinner as we tallied a total of 8 heat winners (winning a couple coveted bell ringers) and 8 first place finishes! We participated in the 12 & Under morning session, which had some of our younger 8 and 9 year old swimmers sharing a heat with the bigger 11 and 12 year old swimmers.

Great job levels 1 and 2! We had a very impressive meet at the Turkey Splash Invite. Level 1 had a total of 2 swimmers representing the titans, and level 2 had 3. We saw great swims by both levels, and were very impressed with how much dropped time there was! Shout out to Alex and Michael Caccamise, who not only were excited to do a few extra relays, but also dropped well over 10 seconds in both of their events! Level 1 had a very impressive swim done by Khloe Kibby, who dropped 3 seconds in her 50 free! Awesome job! Let's keep up the great work at practice!

Level 3 was represented by two swimmers – Lilah Pawelek and Josie Welsch. The three girls combined for three personal best times and a first place finish by Lilah in the Girls 9-10 50 Backstroke! Our practice competition where we focus on starts / breakouts, turns and finishes really paid off at the meet!

Levels 4 and 6 had a great meet and the Turkey Splash Invite this past Sunday! There were three swimmers from each level competing at the meet. From level 4, Vivienne Cabin and Lucy Pendley placed top 3 in all of their events, each with best times. From level 6, Nathain Reimann dropped over two seconds in his 100 fly and Andre Charlier placed in the top 6 in all of his events. Awesome job to everyone who competed!

Level 5 was represented by four swimmers – Tessa Michalowski, Amelia Pashler, Abigail Sule and Joseph Tacca. The group combined for six personal best times and three first place finished by Abigail Sule in the Girls 9-10 50 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly and 100 Individual Medley! We recently started doing some sets that focus on swimming intervals at race pace and preparing ourselves mental to race and it showed at the meet!
