February Frenzy!!

The month of February got faster with each meet our swimmers competed in… Our Snowball Meet held on February 4th went off without a hitch!  TWST had 84 swimmers compete with lots of new Niagara LSC Silver & Gold qualifiers.  It takes many volunteers and lots of team work to pull off a meet of this size, thank you to the parents who stepped up to help!! 

We had 41 swimmers attend the Clarence Meet February 18^th.  Our swimmers posted 59% best times.  14 Senior Team swimmers traveled to Schenectady, NY for the Region 1 Championship Meet, February 17^th- 20^th.  This four-day meet proved to be an excellent opportunity to race against some tremendous competition from the Northeast region during a challenging training phase.  Matt Sitarek picked up his first Speedo Sectional cut in the 100 breaststroke and Elle Noecker won the Women’s 200 IM, 100 & 200 breaststroke events!  These athletes posted 58% best times over the weekend and the constant support these swimmers exhibited was inspiring.  Proud of our kids!

The Niagara Silver Meet in Tonawanda this past weekend was another exhibit of TWST swimmers supporting and motivating each other.  The meet was electric!!  Our swimmers posted 75% lifetime best swims… A total of 44 TWST athletes attended, together they achieved 34 new GOLD cuts!

Shout out to Emily Skrzypczyk & Alexandra Schimert on achieved their first GOLD Qualifying time!

Congratulations to our 27 - 14 & Under swimmers and our 20 – 15 & Older swimmers who are now qualified for the Niagara LSC Gold Championship Meets.  Great job!

Practice Changes in March- March is the season of Championship Meets which creates changes in our practice schedule.  Please check the Calendar Tab for all changes to the normal practice schedule.

Good luck to our 6 TWST boys competing in the NYS Boys High School Championship Meet at Ithaca College March 3^rd-4^th.  Congratulations to Jayden Bruzgul, Jaxon Bruzgul, Austin Carducci, Aiden Carr, Dennis Choroser & Carter Marks!  Swim fast boys!!

11-12 Girls- Hannah Cook 1650 free  22:53.92.

15-18 Girls – Elle Noecker 100 breast 1:03.07, 200 breast 2:16.64.
