March Swim Meet Madness!
The 2023 - 12 & Under Niagara Swim League Championship Meet was held at SUNY Fredonia on March 5th. 35 TWST athletes represented our team racing to 57% best times. This meet was such an exciting opportunity for our swimmers to compete with 7 of the athletes posting 100% best times at the meet. Congrats to Estelle Ardenski, Samantha Cook, Declan Miller, Elizabeth Schuyler, Finnegan Seibold, Sullivan Seibold and Hannah Wangelin! The 2023 Niagara LSC Open Championships were held in Buffalo, March 10th-12th. Our 29 athletes posted 52% best times! It was an exciting team event with our swimmers cheering and motivating each other. It was great to have the group together again. Most exciting swim of the meet goes to Austin Carducci on his 1650 free where he dropped over 46 seconds with the entire team cheering on the side of the pool! March 14th-18th, 6 swimmers traveled attended the 2023 NCSA Junior National Championships in Orlando, Florida. This national level meet brings the fastest 18 & Under swimmers from across the country together for a 5-day meet. The experience and exposure this event allows our athletes is invaluable. Special shout out to Elle Noecker who returned for finals in all of her individual events and broke a Niagara LSC Record in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 28.94! 29 of our 14 & Under swimmers attended their Niagara LSC Championship Meet in Webster, ‘Baby Golds’ as we began to call it. There our kids posted 78% best times, WOW!! The coaches felt the swimmers desire to race truly peaked at this meet. The improvements can easily be recognized in the results we have posted on the website. These 14 swimmers posted 100% best times – Anthony Aguglia, Peyton Brackenridge, Aiden Carr, Hannah Cook, Samantha Cook, Kelsey Duff, Abby Egyhazy, Olivia Egyhazy, Nate Giglio, Jacob Kirchberger, Collins Perez, Maralyn Reboy, Nicholas Schimert and Hannah Wangelin! Please continue to check the TWST Calendar for practice changes noting the entire team will be on Break during the week of April 3rd- 8th. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and recharge before we return on April 10th.
