Coaching Staff
Becky Sapio Head Coach

With a personal competitive swim background, Becky brings years of experience and expertise to the TWST coaching staff.  Becky began her swimming career with the Stingrays where she was a three time Zone Qualifier, later moving to Star where she was a seven time Junior National Qualifier.  After high school, Becky continued as a Division 1 swimmer for four years at St. Bonaventure.  During this time, St. Bonaventure’s women were 4 time Atlantic-10 Champions with Becky being an A-10 champ in nine events.  She was a nine time champ at Easterns and during her senior year the team won the Eastern Intercollegiate Championships.  Becky also held nine school records during her college career and was named SBU Female Athlete of the Year her senior year.  She was inducted into the Sacred Heart Academy Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002 and the St. Bonaventure University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006 for her accomplishments in swimming.  This experience allows Becky to share her expertise with every swimmer, encouraging them to be much more confident and better prepared during their own swimming careers.

Becky has been coaching with TWST since 2009 and coaches because she loves teaching young swimmers while helping them develop as competitors and people.  In 2012, she was chosen as the 11-12 Girls Eastern Zone Coach for the Niagara Zone Team.  She has served on the Niagara Swimming LSC Board as the Junior and Senior Coaches Rep in 2014-2016.  She was awarded the Niagara Swimming 2016-17 Senior Coach of the Year.  She has been a member of the Niagara LSC Tech Planning Committee since 2017, the High Performance and the Safe Sport Committees since 2019. Becky is the lead coach of our Junior and Senior Team.

Becky and her husband Jake have raised their three children in Orchard Park, all of which have graduated from Orchard Park Schools and swam for TWST.   Their children attend/attended University at Buffalo/Florida State University, Canisius College and USMA West Point.


Morgan Rosentreter Head Age Group Coach

Coming from Texas, Morgan brings 13 years of coaching experience to TWST. Having started swimming competitively, in Michigan, at the age of seven she has built a long list of athletic and coaching accomplishments over the years. Competing in swimming and water polo for all four years in high school, she was a multiple All-American Athletic and finished 2 nd in the State Championship in the 100 Breaststroke. After high school, she continued her love for swimming as a spart of the University of  Michigan Varsity Swim Team where she participated in the Big Ten Championships for the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. 

Morgan began her coaching career in 2011 working both as an Assistant Swim Coach at the high school level, as well as the Head Swim Coach for a few local high schools in her hometown. After moving to Texas, she worked with many local teams over the years and most significantly worked as a Head Coach for a local USA swim team as well as spending a year as a High School Head Coach for the local high school. After 6 years in Texas, she moved to Connecticut, where she has spent the last 8 months working as an Assistant High School Swim Coach, as well as coaching with the local club swim team in New Milford, CT.

Working at an ASCA Level 1 coach, Morgan continues to learn as a coach to provide the best experience for each athlete possible. Her goal is to create an environment where success is inevitable. An environment where the athlete can experience the physical training, the psychological preparation and emotional preparation to allow each athlete to not only grow as a strong swimmer but grow as a person. With a love and passion for the sport, and great excitement to be a part of the TWST Coaching staff, she hopes to share her knowledge of swimming and help her swimmers excel as students and athletes.  As our Head Age Group Coach, Morgan will lead the White and Blue Teams while assisting with our Silver, Junior and Senior Teams.

Patrick Johnson Assistant Coach

Pat has been coaching for TWST since 2018 and lifeguarded from 2015-2018.  He grew up in Orchard Park, and in September will begin completing his Masters Degree in Eduaction at the University at Buffalo perusing a career in teaching history.  He has coached for TWST year-round since 2018. From 2017-2020 Pat coached multiple age groups at Hickory Hill Swim and Tennis Club.

Pat’s swimming career started at Hickory Hill where he swam during the summers until he graduated from Orchard Park High School in 2018. While attending OP, Pat started off playing for the school hockey team, where he captained the JV club team both freshman and sophomore years while also playing for the varsity club team sophomore year.  Wishing to be in the pool more, Pat left the hockey team and joined the OP varsity team, where he swam in his remaining two years of high school. During his senior year of high school, Pat also joined TWST as a swimmer hoping to improve in the water. He was a member of our Junior team during his last year of high school.

Pat will be the lead coach of our Silver Team this season as well as assist with our Junior and Senior Teams.  He uses his love and experience for swimming to try to pass his passion on.  On top of swimming, Pat loves hockey, the Cleveland Indians, music, computers, and Star Wars.

Sarah Cook Assistant Coach

Sarah started swimming when she was 5 years old and quickly fell in love with the sport. She swam for STAR for over a decade, where she held many team records as well as Niagara District records, attended several Eastern Zone meets, and qualified for Junior Nationals for the first time at age 14 in the 1500 meter freestyle. She picked up several other Junior National times as a 15 year old and finished her time swimming in the Niagara District as a Tonawanda Titan. While attending high school at Mt Mercy Academy, she was the Msgr. Martin All Catholic MVP during her freshman, sophomore and junior years before transferring to Pine Crest Preparatory School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for her senior year. Sarah was a finalist at Junior Nationals in all of her events while swimming for Pine Crest, and qualified for Senior Nationals for the first time at age 16, when she was the state of Florida high school runner up in the 100 yard butterfly. After adding more Senior National qualifying times to her accolades that same year, she was recruited by several Division I collegiate swimming programs, ultimately choosing the University of Georgia as her landing place. Prior to starting at Georgia, she was inducted into the Mt Mercy Academy Sports Hall of Fame and was a finalist at Senior Nationals in the 200 and 400 meter IM and the 200 and 400 meter freestyle. 

While swimming under legendary Coach Jack Bauerle at The University of Georgia, Sarah was a five time NCAA All American in the 200 free, 500 free, 400 IM and 800 free relay events. She was an SEC championship finalist each of her four years, with the team winning the SEC championship title during her sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. In 1999, The University of Georgia Women's Swimming Team won its first ever NCAA National Championship. Sarah was co-captain of that team and considers that championship, and the experiences that went along with it, to be the highlight of her swimming career. Despite acquiring several 2000 Olympic Trial qualifying times in the IM, freestyle and butterfly events, Sarah opted to retire from swimming in 1999 following the completion of her collegiate career.
Sarah was a four time NCAA Academic All American, received an NCAA postgraduate scholarship, and graduated magna cum laude from Georgia with a BS in Biology. She went on to attend medical school at the University of Buffalo, completed residency at The Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo, and works in private practice as a board certified pediatrician. Prior to 2000, Sarah had three years of experience as a swim coach at Pine Crest Swim Camp and one year as head coach of Hamburg Swim Club. After a long hiatus, she has been on deck at TWST assisting with various levels since December 2019 and loves being able to share her expertise and enthusiasm for the sport with each of the team's swimmers. She will assist with our Junior and Senior Teams this Season. She and her husband, Mark, have four children - Andrew (16), Amelia (14), Hannah (12), and Samantha (8). Their daughters all swim for TWST. 
Isabel Sapio Assistant Coach

Isabel began swimming at TWST at age 8 until age 18. While in high school, she was an Individual NYS Qualifier during her Sophomore, Junior and Senior years of high school. She is the current Orchard Park High School and Section VI, 200 Medley Relay Record Holder and graduated from Orchard Park High School in 2019. 

In the fall of 2022, she will begin her Senior year at Canisius College where she is majoring in Psychology with 3 minors in Clinical/Counseling Child Psychology, Sports Psychology and Coaching. As a member of the Canisius Women's Swimming and Diving Team since 2019, Isabel is their School Record Holder in the 200 and 400 Medley Relays.
In 2018-19, Isabel assisted in coaching our TWST White, Blue & Silver teams.  For 3 summers, she coached swimmers from 6-18 years old at Eagle Ridge Recreation Association from 2018-2020.  Isabel has been coaching all TWST levels since our 2021 Summer Session.  For the 2022-23 Season she will be coaching our White, Blue, Silver  and Senior Teams.
She loves dogs, hiking and nature. Isabel loves spending time with her family in North Carolina and her favorite stroke is breastroke.
Allison McCune Assistant Coach


Allison began swimming at the age of 3 for the Hickory Hill Country Club and joined TWST by the age of 7, where she swam until the age of 18. While in high school, she was a member of the Orchard Park Varsity Swim team and a NYS Qualifier for the 4x100 relay her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year. She was also the captain both her Junior and Senior year. 

From 2018 to 2019, Allison volunteered as a student coach for the blue and silver teams. After graduating high school the spring of 2019, Allison swam for the Rochester Institute of Technology for one semester, acting as their long distance swimmer, before transferring to the University at Buffalo.  

Allison will be assisting with our White, Blue, Silver and Junior Teams this season. She is entering her Senior year this fall of 2022 at the University at Buffalo, where she is majoring in Biomedical Engineering and has been accepted into their Master’s Program. When not studying, she enjoys walking her dog, running and listening to music. Her favorite stroke is freestyle.

Maria Kubiak Assistant Coach

Maria began swimming on West Seneca Sharks at the age of 7, later moving to TWST at the age of 8 until age 17. Maria began her varsity swimming career at West Seneca East High School in 8th grade. She is a record holder for the 200 Medley Relay at West Seneca East High School. Maria then attended Nardin Academy High school where she swam for the varsity swim team for four years and was the team captain during her junior and senior year.  After Graduating from Nardin Academy in 2020, Maria is continuing her education at Daemen College. She is in the 5 year PA program studying to become a Physician Assistant.


Maria has 5 years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard at Orchard Park Recreation. She has taught a variety of ages between 2 years old and 25 years old.  She will be assisting with all or our groups this season.


Maria’s favorite stroke is Butterfly. Other than swimming, Maria also loves playing lacrosse, traveling, working out and listening to music. She enjoyed her first year of coaching at TWST which alloewed her to share her love for the sport! 

Hannah Sheehan Assistant Coach

Hannah swam from ages 8 to 14 and then began swimming for Hamburg Girls Varsity Swimming for 2 years.  For 3 years she coached for Hamburg Swim Club.  At HSC, she was in charge of their Learn to Swim program which consisted of working with swimmers ages 3 to 5. Hannah was a lead coach for the youngest group and helped co-coach all the other age groups. Hannah has been lifeguarding since she was 15 years old and helps out when needed.

Hannah graduated from Geneseo with a Biology Degree in 2018 and worked for the Health department the past 2 years. She graduated from the Accelerated Nursing Program at UB in May 2022 and is currently a traveling nurse.

She will be working with our Blue and Silver Teams this season.  She loves hiking, reading and watching movies.
