Anshita Jaiswal and Anya Mehta named February 2019 Swimmers of the Month

The Bridgewater Tide Staff would like to announce our February Swimmers of the Month: Anshita Jaiswal and Anya Mehta! Both of them have been working hard at practice and had a great Silver/Bronze Championship, and we would like to reward them for their success in the pool.

Anshita Jaiswal is a member of the Silver group, and was named the Bubble’s Swimmer of the Month because of her hard work at practice, which resulted in multiple time drops at Silver/Bronze championships. She started swimming in Pre-Competitive in 2016, and has been a member of the competitive team for two and a half years. Her favorite stroke is freestyle, and her favorite set is The Sisu Set (10x100’s all out. Anshita hates that it makes her so tired, but loves that it makes her stronger). When she isn’t swimming, Anshita likes to play the piano, basketball, write or read stories (she Loves Harry Potter), do math puzzles, or hang out with her sister Sanika. Anshita’s advice to her teammates is that determination and hard work will make you the great swimmer you want to become.

Anya Mehta is a member of the Tidal Waves group, and was named the Indoor Pool’s Swimmer of the Month because of her high practice attendance and great performance at Silver/Bronze championships. Anya started swimming with the Tide in 2017, and loves to swim freestyle. Her favorite set in practice is four 25’s IM order. When she isn’t swimming, Anya likes to go to gymnastics, eat fruit with Nutella, and play with her older sister Reya (who is in the Gold group). Her advice to her teammates is to train hard and never give up.

The Bridgewater Tide Staff would like to congratulate Anshita and Anya on being our February Swimmers of the Month! This is an honor and a privilege awarded to our hardest-working swimmers, and we hope everyone is trying their best to be named our next Swimmer of the Month.
