This past weekend at Lyndhurst High School all four Scarlet divisions hosted a meet from Saturday March 20th to Sunday March 21st. Our team did a tremendous job of competing and making the most of this rare opportunity in the midst of an unusual season. The energy was off the charts as swimmers supported their teammates. Furthermore, the swimmers produced some great swims! As the Summer approaches we are hopeful that a regular competition schedule is near. From February 28th to March 3rd in Houston, Texas the 2021 Men’s PAC-12 Swimming and Diving Championship took place. The teams that compete within this conference are University of California- Berkeley, Stanford University, University of Southern California, Utah University, and University of Arizona. The PAC-12 Conference is one of the fastest in Division 1 college swimming. As many Olympians have competed for these teams when attending college. It is with great joy that I inform you all, that we had an accomplished first intrasquad meet. Today there were two sessions of the meet hosted at Lyndhurst High School against our Scarlet Rutgers division. With all guidelines and rules followed strictly and successfully in regards to the ongoing pandemic. This past weekend Scarlet BMS had four swimmers compete at the respected U.S. Open Championships. The competition was a total of three days beginning on November 12th and concluded today November 14th. In addition, the meet was held in Long Course Meters in 50 Meter pools. Due to the coronavirus pandemic the U.S. Open was hosted at 9 different locations simultaneously whereas under normal circumstances it would only take place at one specific location. During these trying times it is our pleasure to share this great news with you. Two of our National group members have committed to swim for colleges that they will attend in the Fall of 2021. These two seniors are James Don and Brian Uribe. James has decided to spend the next four years attending and swimming for the United States Military Academy or better known as West Point.
