Dear Swimmers and Families,

Each person must live their life as a model for others.

                                    -Rosa Parks

Happy Wednesday! Champs season is in the air! We had the 8&Under State Championships this last weekend and our Little Stingrays swam their hearts out. We are so proud to have them as part of this team! Way to go Lil’ Stangz!

(Just so everyone is clear: YES, Eli Manning was at the meet.)

Bronze Championships are this weekend. We are really stoked to watch all of our kids compete. This is a big meet, and our swimmers have been working very hard to get to this point. Rest up. Eat well. Hydrate. Let’s do this.

In the midst of champs…emotions can get high in the heat of competition. The love of the sport is the root of all. Coach Brian shared a really great article that is perfect for this time of year:

Bronze Championships: All adult members of the team are required for AT LEAST 1 SESSION to help execute this championship. We rely on, and are so grateful to all of our volunteers for this meet. It is a privilege that our team is hosting a championship meet, and we would like to have everything running smoothly. WHETHER YOUR CHILD IS SWIMMING IN THE MEET OR NOT- YOUR ATTENDANCE IS IMPERATIVE. This includes families who qualify out, as well as 8&under families. Job choices have been closed and will be now distributed to families that have not yet signed up to work. If you need points, please reach out to either Shannon Hamilton or myself, and we will get you aligned with a job,

No AM Practices for the remainder of the season.

There WILL be practice for NON Bronze swimmers on Sunday 2/10.

JUNIOR 3 Group-

No cross training on Tuesdays and dryland on Fridays. This is in line with our season plan and taper for the upcoming champs meets. If you have any questions, please reach out.

No RVCC practices for the remainder of the season.

Mark your calendars! The Special Olympics Meet is just around the corner! We had such a great time volunteering as a team last year, and it would be awesome to do it again. The date will be March 16 from 4-8pm at the Deer Path Y.
