David Gibson began swimming for Lakeland Hills in 1996 as an 8/under. Over the years of contributing to the team’s success at dual meets and championships, David was able to achieve a life long dream of qualifying and competing at the 2005 YMCA National Championships his junior year in high school. This was one of his proudest achievements as a swimmer.   In November 2005, David had a fatal car accident.  He will forever be a part of our team, and a very special part of our National Team.  David was a dedicated friend and teammate and brought many smiles and laughter to those around him.

Money collected will benefit the "David Gibson Swimming Endowment".  This fund specifically assists swim team families in need of assistance with the expense of any swim related activities or equipment.
