On February 8th & 9th, 19 members of our 9-12 yr olds competed at the NJ YMCA Bronze Championships at the Witherspoon Middle School in Princeton, NJ. We saw 58 best times achieved with three swimmers qualifying up to the Silver Championships! Congratulations to Justin Godoy for placing 1st in the 9/10 Boys 100 IM! On Sunday February 2nd, our 8/under squad competed in the NJ YMCA State Championships at the Raritan Valley Community College. Coach Carrie, Coach Sara, and Coach Meghan were very happy with the swimmers' achievements throughout the day and were proud of their accomplishments. USA Swimming sponsors four Zone Select Camps in an effort to identify the emerging young athletes in each Zone and offer them a unique motivational and educational experience. The Zone Select Camps are viewed as an integral step for athletes to move from the local and Zone level onto to the national scene. 28 male and 28 female athletes are selected in each of the four Zones.
