Our team is a year-round competitive USA Swimming team offering high quality, professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to promote a lifetime of wellness through the sport of swimming in a safe and inclusive environment.

Jeff Noonan Head Site Coach - Bergen County

Jeff has been coaching competitive swimming for over 30 years.  Before coming to Lifetime he was the Head Coach for the Bergen Barracudas and has spent the last 8 years as an assistant coach with the Ridgewood Breakers.  Jeff has coached all levels of swimmers from beginners to State & Zone record-holders and National level qualifiers.  He believes in promoting the love for the sport of swimming, developing great technique in all four strokes, and improving in training day to day, week to week.  "Working hard is hard but Hard Work Works"

Interestingly enough, I started my coaching career at the Montvale swim club while in college and I am very excited to be back here to help the Lifetime swimmers to reach their full potential-- Coach Jeff 

Louis Perez-Mendoza Assistant Coach - Bergen County

After 8 years of competitive swimming with the Suffern Sea Lions and 5 years of teaching swim lessons, Coach Louis began coaching for the Life Time Metro Swim Team at the Bergen County location. He wanted to share his knowledge and experiences both in and out of the water to help guide the next
generation of young athletes.
Joining our Life Time family for the Summer of 2017 as the Dolphins Coach, he is always eager to teachand help swimmers find new ways to improve their technique and skills. Coach Louis believes everyone is capable of being their best in this sport as long as they enjoy themselves and strive for excellence.

Lee Corey Assistant Coach - Bergen County

Coach Lee started competitive swimming at 10 years old with Minnesota USA Swimming. Lee’s passion for swimming continued while attending the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale while training at the International Swimming Hall of Fame. After landing a job as an illustrator in New York City, Lee joined New York Metropolitan Masters Swimming where he still competes in open water ocean races. Lee went on to earn a top ten ranking in US Masters Swimming and continues to train hard in the Life Time pools.

After coaching age group swimming with the New York Sharks for 5 seasons, Coach Lee came on as Assistant Coach at the Bergen County Metro location where he works with all age group levels. Lee is known for developing swimmers to the next level of competitive swimming and has made numereous age group swimmers become Junior Olympics qualifiers.

Kevin has been teaching and coaching swimming for 13 plus years. He has attended meets at all levels, from summer league swim meets to the Olympic trials. He has worked with swimmers of all levels from the learn to swim classes to an oppritunity to coach on a training trip at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

His main focus is practice correct technique across all four strokes, approach each workout or meet as an oppritunity to learn and grow within the sport, and to have a positive and fun experience for all. He believes swimming is a lifelong activity with the proper skills and technique taught at a young age a great benefit being the ability to compete along the way.

Asher Phipps Senior Head Coach - Florham Park/NJ

Asher is our Head Site Coach at Florham Park. Technique and stroke efficiency is this coach’s motto. Asher comes to us with a healthy background in competitive swimming and is ASCA level 3 certified.

Asher was on the coaching staff for the  2017 New Jersey Swimming Long Course Eastern Zone Team. 

Asher believes an athlete without technique is filled with limits as great technique is limitless. Asher has a devout love for the sport of swimming and works tirelessly to spread his knowledge and excitement throughout his athletes. Asher has coached athletes to many achievements and wishes to continue this journey. Go Metro!

Dan Dougher Head Age Group Coach NJ

Dan truly has a love and passion for the sport of swimming. He began swimming at BAC when he was 8 years old and continued to swim at TCNJ, where he attained Academic and Athletic All-American Honors. Dan began his coaching career teaching Swim Lessons at BAC. This foundation of sound technique is what has anchored him throughout his career, which has included coaching at the renowned North Baltimore Aquatic Club and Johns Hopkins University. His athletes have gone on to numerous athletic achievements, including both the Olympics and Paralympics. He is also a recipient of the Order of Ikkos, an award bestowed upon the coach of a US medal winner at the Olympics or Paralympics. No matter what level Dan has coached, he believes that the secret to the sport is fun. For without fun nothing else can be accomplished!

Denny Crowell Head Site Coach - Princeton

Denny has 6 years of competitive swimming starting off at Jackson Liberty High School and Ocean County YMCA. Denny made first team all county; Meet of champs, and YMCA Nationals. Denny began coaching at The Atlantic club where he educated, trained, and developed many fast swimmers from the ages of 5 to the elite 17 year olds. Then he moved onto Freehold Old-Bridge YMCA for a year, he had many qualifiers for states and JO’s.  Now entering his 6th year of coaching, Denny’s swimmers have achieved success and great results such as 1st place qualifiers for Sectionals, Zones, Junior Olympics’, and had a swimmer qualify for Junior Nationals.

Ana Juvenal Lead Age Group Coach - Princeton

Coach Carolina, an ASCA Level 2 coach, has been coaching competitively for 14 years. She started the Princeton Tigers Aquatics Club in the Spring of 2007. During her time at PTAC, the team grew significantly from 20 to over 200 swimmers. Coach Carolina's primary groups were the 12 and under where she coached countless NJ Junior Olympics qualifiers as well and the North East Zone finalists. Coach Carolina also assisted the 13 and over groups which had multiple finalists at the North East Zone and Sectionals. In the summer of 2019 Coach Carolina was the Head Coach of the 10 and under NJ All Star Team at the North East Zone Meet.
Coach Carolina's focus with Life Time Swimming is to teach proper technique while providing a positive environment for her swimmers that allows them to reach their maximum potential and help them grow as individuals. She has great skills in evaluating and monitoring the development of young swimmers.
Coach Carolina swam competitively for 15 years at the Santa Cecilia University in Brazil. As a Junior in high school she qualified for Nationals and for the next two years she travelled with the college team to the winter and summer National meets. She has multiple Junior Nationals medals and was also a National Swimming Team qualifier.
Coach Carolina immigrated to the United States in 2005 to continue her education. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. She currently lives in Plainsboro with her son Logan.

O'Neill Bergeron Assistant Coach - Princeton

O’Neill has been swimming competitively for 22 years and coaching for 14. He grew up swimming for a USA club team in East Tennessee where he competed at the Sectional level throughout high school. He moved to NJ to attend Princeton University, where he was a member of their Division I varsity swim team for all four years. He graduated from Princeton with a degree in biology and environmental science. O’Neill has a NASM certification (National Academy of sport medicine) and is very knowledgeable in dryland training for swimmers. Since graduating in 2016, he has continued to swim competitively in the form of triathlons, as well as taking an interest in rock climbing and several other endurance sports. O’Neill was formerly an assistant coach for X-CEL Swimming for six years, and was the head coach of a smaller local team for the past four years.
