Transportation to and from Swim Meets

It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to make appropriate arrangements for travel to and from meets and to ensure that swimmers are at the meet on time and ready for warm-ups at least 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled warm-up time.  We hope that car-pooling is better facilitated by the  availability of contact information for parents and guardians on this website.

For meets where air travel is involved, such as the Sunkissed Invitational, a parent coordinator will usually provide information regarding flights, the team hotel where group rates are available and other travel arrangements, if any.  If your child has qualified and you have not heard anything, please reach out to your coach.

Coaches are not permitted to transport athletes at any time for any reason in a private vehicle. Where a YMCA vehicle or a vehicle that has been rented and insured in the name of the YMCA is being used, a coach may be permitted to transport athletes under certain circumstances.
