Welcome to the home of the OCY Tiger Sharks Swim Team.

We are a coach directed, parent supported YMCA program.

OCY offers a variety of competitive programs that are designed to accommodate children of all age groups and skill levels. At each level, the goals and objectives are specific and directed toward meeting the needs of the swimmer. The long-term goal of total excellence is always in mind. As each child is different, he/she will progress at his/her own rate. The coaching staff recognizes this fact by making team assignments based on a swimmer's physical, mental, and emotional level of development. YMCA National Events Canceled in the wake of the Coronavirus Crisis

On March 10th Y-USA announced the 2020 YMCA Short Course National Championships, scheduled for March 30-April 3 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, have been canceled in response to developments in the spread of COVID-19.
The meet was expected to draw 1,400 swimmers from around the nation. Short Course YMCA national championships have been held yearly since 1923, with the only prior cancelations coming in 1942-45 for World World II, and in 1947.

Two weeks later on March 26th it was announced that YMCA Long Course Nationals would also be canceled. The event was scheduled for July 28th to August 1st at Greensboro Aquatic Center.

In an email from from YMCA of the USA:

"This was not an easy decision for Y-USA to make. We recognize this will be incredibly disappointing for the athletes, teams and families who were looking forward to the Long Course competition season. We will continue to work to find ways to recognize and honor the achievements and hard work of athletes and teams who will not get to compete in 2020."
