Director of Competitive Swimming - Greg Wriede

Head Coach of the Peddie Varsity Swim Team and the Peddie Aquatic Association since 2001, Greg Wriede ’95 has led the Peddie Falcons to 7 Eastern Interscholastic Conference titles, a 46-13 dual meet record and 7 Mid-Atlantic Prep League titles.

He has developed over 90 All Americans and coached 3 relay teams to National Prep School Records. In 2010, Wriede guided the Peddie School boys’ team to a 5th place finish in Swimming World Mythical Rankings, while the girls placed 10th for independent schools.

Named to the USA National Youth Team Coaching Staff, Wriede has produced qualifiers for Olympic Trials, World Championship Trials, U.S. Open and Junior Nationals. In addition, his swimmers have placed in the Top 16 National Age Group rankings over 100 times while setting 60 New Jersey State records. Greg can be reached at or 609-944-7547.

Aquatics Director - Beth Bright

Beth grew up in Geneva, NY. Her life-long love of swimming began at an early age in her backyard pool and she became a competitive swimmer in high school. She has coached in the Northern VA Swim League, and YMCAs in Winston-Salem, NC and Lynchburg, VA. In addition, Beth has started 3 teams – 1 age-group/YMCA team, and 2 high school teams – all in Virginia. Beth’s love for the water has been the motivation for her nearly 20 years of teaching swimming, training lifeguards, and managing aquatic facilities.
