Open Swim Policies (Updated 5/1/2022)
The Peddie Aquatic Center complies with the NJ Department of Health Executive Directive No. 20-022 and has been inspected and approved by the Hightstown Borough Department of Health for compliance with this directive. In order to use the pool, each patron must be a registered member who has read & accepted the medical and liability waivers.
- All swimmers should self-assess their health daily for any signs of illness. Do not come to the pool if you are experiencing any signs of illness. (i.e. congestion, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, pain, rash, cough, and headache, etc.)
- All registered members can drop in for swimming any time that open swim is available (check the monthly calendar!)
- All swimmers must shower before entering the pool as required by the NJ Bathing Code. Do not apply lotions or sunscreens before entering our indoor pool!
- Check in with the lifeguard on deck before entering the water
- Always enter feet-first, use of the starting blocks is prohibited during open swim.
- Open swim is reserved for those who are registered members of the Peddie Aquatic Center.
- When sharing lanes please determine if you will circle swim (stay to the right) or split the lane before commencing your workout.
Freezing or Canceling memberships
All requests to freeze or cancel membership must be made in writing and sent via email to [email protected] or set via the "Please Contact Us" field on the website.
Any monthly or daily member can freeze their membership for up to three months per calendar year. Annual members may only freeze their account with supporting documentation from a physician, and also may only freeze for up to three months.
Any account can be canceled at any time, we do not offer refunds for annual memberships canceled prior to their renewal date nor do we prorate refunds for monthly memberships canceled before the end of the month.
