Pups Swim Group
- 12 and under who are new to swimming
- Must be able to do a 25 freestyle and 25 backstroke
- Working on proper balance, head position, and kicking
- Flippers and fins are suggested but not required
Red Swim Group
- 6-12 yr olds (beginner 10-12 yr olds)
- Developing all four strokes, building kicking base, learning flip turns and dives, having fun
- Priority form over speed
- Flippers/fins, and kickboard are recommended
Black Swim Group
- 10-14 yr olds (beginner 13-14 yr old)
- Increasing aerobic capacity, learning competitive strategies, mastering advanced techniques
- Priority of form over speed
- Flippers/fins, kickboard, tempo trainer, snorke, and pull buoy are recommended
Senior B Swim Group
- 13+ yr olds
- Priority form over speed
- Implementing good training and preparation habits
- Aerobic background
- Being a student of the sport
Senior A Swim Group
- 13+ yr olds
- Priority form over speed
- Learning advanced racing techniques
- Expectation building, mental training, aerobic training, racing, fast, tough, accountable
Performance Swim Group
- 13+ yr olds
- Qualification:
- Automatic – Sectional Times
- 1st consideration – Zones times
- 2nd consideration – 2 or more times close to Zones times
- Priority of form, speed, and endurance
- Expectation building, mental training, aerobic training, racing, fast, tough
- Dryland specificity
- Advanced training sessions
- Requirements & Expectations
- 95% attendance
- Outstanding work ethic and passion
- Ability to thrive when challenged
- Plan to attend at least one high level meet (Sectionals, Zones, or Elite meet)
- Knowledge of: own race stats, stroke rates, splits, under water kick count etc
