NOVEMBER 2019 DALLAS MUSTANGS NEWSLETTER

Greetings, Mustangs!

Not only has November brought some crazy weather, but it has marked the time when the Mustang swimmers are working hard. Most of our swimmers should feel like they are in the best shapes of their lives. And with big meets coming up in December, this is the time for the Mustangs to sharpen their skills and prepare for a lot of fast swimming!

HAUNTED HAT MEET

Our annual Haunted Hat meet, which traditionally takes place in late October, was a huge success for our swimmers. Those who finished in the top eight in at least one event are listed below.

Thanks go out to our two meet directors, Jeroen Van Cauwelaert and Greg Seidel, for organizing a great meet. Also, thanks to our officials and other parents who volunteered over the weekend. Luckily, we were able to get some officiating help from some of the other teams, otherwise, we would not have been able to run the meet.

DALLAS MUSTANGS SWIM-A-THON

Over the next month, we will be holding our Swim-A-Thon, which is our main fundraiser each year. You will be receiving emails about how to get involved soon so please plan to help make it a successful event. Our goal is to have every swimmer raise at least $100.

If you would like to sign up to donate gift card prizes, please go here and select "Job Signup". Your Mustang account will be billed.

If you would like to help or donate other prizes such as sports tickets or airline miles, please contact Griffin Marshall @ [email protected]

Areas where we continue to need new faces are officials and meet operations.

If you are interested in officiating, please contact Julian Fisher @ [email protected].

If you are interested in learning more about the computer and timing side of swimming, please contact Jeroen Van Cauwelaert @ [email protected].

Without help in these two areas, it makes it tough to host meets for the swimmers so please consider volunteering your time...

OUT OF THE POOL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
