COMMUNITY OPEN SWIMMING  - YOU MUST RESERVE A LANE

Lane Reservations - From January 6 through May 28, 2021

Membership Agreement

Drop in Agreement - this agreement is for swimmers who like to pay by day instead of getting a membership

Attached you will find our new membership agreement.  The difference is in the addition of Covid wording.  NEW AND EXISTING MEMBERS NEED TO FILL THIS OUT!  We will have paper copies when you come in to swim but I'm sure no one wants to waste time doing that when you could be getting your laps in so you can scan it and email it back to us if you desire.  Payment, if needed, can be made by cash check or charge.  If you plan on charging your membership, calling in your payment will be the best option if you plan on emailing your membership application.  If you just want to pay per swim I have also attached the "Drop In agreement" that will need to be signed before you can enter the pool.
  • MASKS MUST BE WORN WHEN NOT IN THE WATER.
  • The family locker room is only to be used to access the restrooms only. No showering or changing is permitted.  Lockers have been cleaned out and contents have been labeled and securely stored.  If you would like to retrieve your items please come during open swimming times or call the office to arrange an appointment.
  • Swimming will be conducted with one swimmer per lane with a 30 minute time limit.  If a lane is available once your 30 minutes is up, you may swim another 30 minutes. YOU WILL RESERVE YOUR LANE AND TIME ONLINE before arriving at the pool to swim.
  • We are asking community members to do a covid self check before each time you come to swim with us.  As of August 27, the Texas Education Agency recommends the following list when evaluating whether an individual has symptoms consistent with COVID-19. If you begin to experience any of these symptoms, you are encouraged to contact your healthcare provider. As a reminder, any community member who has a positive lab-confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis or who have been in close contact with an individual who is lab-confirmed COVID-19 positive should notify Aquatics Staff. Any of the following symptoms indicate a possible COVID-19 infection:

o   Temperature of 100.0°F or higher when taken by mouth

o   Chills, shaking or exaggerated shivering

o   Cough

o   Difficulty breathings, shortness of breath

o   Headache

o   Sore throat

o   Diarrhea, nausea or vomiting

o   Loss of taste or smell

o   Congestion or runny nose

o   Significant muscle pain or ache; fatigue.

FAQs

1.   How will I reserve a lane?  Once we have a start date, you will receive another email with the reservation link.  We will also put this on our website.  You will be able to reserve through the end of the year.  This does not mean these are the only hours we will be open through the end of the year.  This will be a google form or signupgenius.
2.   Will you eventually have more open swim hours to the public in the future?  Our intention is to expand our offerings in the future to include times that those that work during the day can swim.
3.   The link does not work, what's up with that?   www.rockwallaquatics.com is our website that has been used for years.  Not sure why it works for some and not others.  However, if you type  www.rockwallaquatics.com it works for all.  It is a secure site.
4.   Is the hot tub working?  It needs to be replastered so it will be unavailable until it gets an overhaul.
5.   Can we put our membership on hold until you expand your hours?  Absolutely!  Just send us an email (we'd like it in writing) and let us know.
6.   Are you taking new members?  Yes, when we have the new membership contacts ready, everyone (including existing members) will need to resign them.  We will email these out, put them on our website and have them here in the office once they are ready.  You will be able to sign in person or scan and email in.  We will take payments over the phone or in person.
7.   Will I be able to sign up to reserve a lane and swim "drop in" if I don't have a membership?  Yes, we will have a smaller version of a membership contract for you to sign.
8.   Will I be able to reserve the shallow pool as well?  Yes, the lane reservation link that we will be sending out has the shallow pool reservations as well.
9.   What is the busiest time so far?  It looks like you guys love that 1pm slot.  If you are able to help out and swim at another time, please do.
10.  Will someone be in the office during open swim?  Yes and actually at least for a little while, we'll be on the pool deck greeting you, handing out cards, asking you to sign the new membership agreement, etc.  Our hours are a little odd right now so someone is not always in the office when you call but we will be there during open swim hours.

We thank you so much for your patience at this time.  We know it is a while and we can't wait to get as many of you back as possible.  We'll send an email out with the new start date as soon as we have one.  This information will be added to our website  www.rockwallaquatics.com and we will leave the survey link open as well.
