MARS has create a remote training website for families to have resources to stay fit during the COVID-19 crisis. All MARS practices are canceled at all locations through March 30th in response to the COVID-19 virus, following the recommendations of NT Swimming, and state and local Health agencies. Please stay tuned for more information.

Former MARSian, Dr Brittany King, has finished her 4th marathon in as many days this morning in France as her quest continues for 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents. She's been to Australia, Abu Dhabi, Tunisia and France so far this week. She's coming back across the Atlantic for the last three runs. Wow!!!! Come hear Dr King speak at our spring Parent Meeting on March 22nd.

Our own Kayla Epting, a Keller Central senior and University of Houston recruit, was named as a Scholastic All-American by USAS. Way to go Kayla!!!

Retired MARS coach Jon Ivonen was honored on Saturday, Sept 14th as the recipient of the Theron Pickle Lifetime Achievement Award in Austin at the Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Assoc (TISCA) annual meeting.  Coach Ivonen coached for MARS for more than 25 years.  Congratulations Coach Ivonen!

Our 5 swimmer team of Matthew, Dayne, Tristan, Tanyon and Tiffani scored big at the Keo Nakama meet in Hawaii against an international field. MARS placed 10th in team scoring with one of the smallest team in the competition. Kowabunga MARS dudes!!

Coach Suzanne was recently named to USA Swimming's Diversity Committee. This committee is meeting in Chicago on Dec 16th. Members from the five zones in the US are meeting to establish the goals and vision of USAS for diversity within our national membership. MARS, under the leadership of Coach Suzanne, became one of the first Make-A-Splash local partners in USAS. USAS is recognizing the leadership of Coach Suzanne and MARS with this appointment.
