Officials Training and Certification

Officials are an important part of making sure our swimmers have a quality experience in competitive swimming. They are integral to the development of the sport of swimming as they provide the mechanism for which our competition structure is delivered.  During local time trials and swim meets the Club typically requires 20 - 25 officials as timers, stroke and turn judges, starter and other positions. Parents and others are encouraged to help out. Training and support are provided through a series of on line presentations supported by Swim Alberta and on deck mentoring provided by our experienced officials. Information about the training and certification process is outlined on the Swim Alberta website.
