Swim Team

CCS offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of CCS to offer age and ability specific training for all of our athletes geared towards Technique Development and challenging each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Blue 1 & 2

This is our entry level group. An athlete needs to be able to swim 25 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke to enter this group. Swim meet preparation is a focus and we want these athletes to swim Lake Erie Breakout meets and home meets. Swimmers will be required to bring goggles.

Blue 1 & 2 Coaches: Willard Lead Coach and Gennie Assistant Coach
Workout Days/Times: Tuesday and Thursday 6-7 p.m.

White 1 & 2

Athletes in this group focus mainly on improving all four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique. Swimming in meets is encouraged at a rate of 1 meet each month.  Swimmers entering White 2 will be required to sign a contract.

White 1 & 2 Coaches: Matthew Lead Coach, Lee, Luke, and Caleb Assistant Coaches
Workout Days/Times: Mon-Tue-Wed-Thur 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Red 1 & 2

Athletes in this group are in the 11-12 and 13-14 age groups (and really advanced 9-10) and have completed the White 2 Group. This group is exposed to training and preparing for IMX events and developing  great strokes, starts and turns.  This group will have a strong Aerobic/I.M. oriented training focus, competing at swim meets is expected at a rate of about 1-2 meets per month.  Swimmers in both Red groups will be required to sign contracts.

Workout Days/Times:  Mon-Tue-Wed-Thur 530-7:30 p.m. Saturday 8-10 a.m.

Senior 1 & 2

Athletes entering the Senior 1 & 2 groups are upper level 13-14 and High School age swimmers. They must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present.

Senior 1 & 2 Group Coaches:  Jaelle Lead Senior Coach, Lee, Luke, and Caleb Assistant Coaches
Workout Days/Times: Mon-Wed-Fri 5:30-6:30 a.m. Mon-Thur 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8-10 a.m.

Equipment Requirements same as the Red group.
